On ‘Lifestyle,’ Nuage and Gerwin create a dreamy and uplifting atmosphere, blending warm Rhodes keys, silky vocals, and an infectious head-nodding groove. Nuage dials things down to 136 BPM on title track ‘Prints of You,’ a beautiful and evocative composition from the heart that progresses along to a heavyweight bassline with hints of analogue distortion. This essential groove demonstrates Nuage’s continuing refinement as a musician and provides the perfect teaser for the full 15-track album, which covers the spectrum of Deep House, Garage, Drum & Bass, and Chillstep.

Call it futurestep. Call it deepstep. Call it autonomic. Call it whatever you wish, but one thing is for sure – Hidden Element hailing straight from Kiev, Ukraine fail to make their music disappoint. With a fresh take on electronic sounds ranging from breathtaking beatless layers to +/- 170 BPM heavy hitters, these two have been making waves in the industry for some time already, releasing on 22:22, Alphacut, Med School, Pinecone Moonshine and Translation – to name a few. But it is Absys Records that is the home for their full-length album entitled “Together”. The release is a collection of 13 amazing pieces of work, each hitting a slightly different tone, but making a wonderfully coherent whole.

An entity that is enjoyed best when all of its components are played together, as the title suggests. The album focuses in majority on a rather home-listening experience, with tracks like “Aura” or “The Night” setting the pace for a pleasant evening chill and boosting the laid-back mood even furth er with “Quite Place” or “Without You” - both infused with lovely vocals – that can serve well as modern-day lullabies. But there are als o more lively accents (“Long Way Home”, “Who Knows”), traces of live instr umentation (“The Next Day”), or ambient (“Bridge”). All in all, you get a fantastic cross-section of contemporary electronic music, a masterfully composed package of nothing but pure listening pleasure.

Microfunk Music has released a new EP called "Puzzles". The release contains four tracks by Microfunk artists that will soon be releasing their solo records on the label.

The compilation provides a glimpse into the future sound of the Microfunk label. You'll find vintage IDM melodies from Microfunk Crew in the track "Bikini Bottom", and futuristic glitches in the ambient epos "Sparkling Lake" by Dissident. "Minimal Love" by Subwave stands out with its meditative vibe that's somehow still at home on the dancefloor, and Nuage opens up new horizons for the evolution of his and the label’s sound with his 160-bpm track "Parallel".

"Puzzles EP" is out now digitally on Bandcamp and will be available in other shops / streaming services on the 1st November. A limited edition of tote bags and prints with the artwork are available via Bandcamp.

After 10 years Sunchase releases his second LP 'Timeline' on Ukrainian Kashtan

One of Europe's key figures in the drum and bass music scene of the 2000s - Sunchase - returns with his long-awaited album on Kashtan, a newly launched label from Ukraine, on 1st of December 2020.
Kashtan arises with the release of the renowned Ukrainian producer Sunchase, aka Alexander Pavlenko, whose debut album, 'Static Nitro', came out on Drone Audio in 2010. Sunchase had numerous singles on such cult labels like Moving Shadow, Metalheadz and Hospital Records and after 10 years he finally returns to the LP format.
His second album 'Timeline', just like the concept of the label, blurs the boundaries between genres of electronic music, and cannot be assigned to any particular style. The melancholic and abstract sounds give off a sense of reclusiveness, with drum and bass rhythms peeking and sometimes breaking through to the surface, yet more often they go deeper, creating room for bass music, dub and even a slight touch of IDM, thus creating a very special state. The album as a whole appears as a voluminous, complete, and aesthetically established piece of work.

Kashtan is a new Ukrainian record label. The primal concept of the label is to discover and to pick carefully gems of Ukrainian electronic music that are not defined and limited by genre definitions. The selection focuses on pure creativity, aiming for the listener to return again and again, despite shifts in trends and time. It was created and developed by Vera Logdanidi, a Kyiv-based producer and DJ, one of the founders of the Rhythm Büro project. Vera has been hosting a radio show on the waves of Kyiv's independent project 20ft Radio for over three years now. The show consists mainly of unreleased tracks by Ukrainian electronic producers. Kashtan assists in presenting not very known musicians to a global audience and places them on the same level with already established producers, whilst also revealing their creative personalities. The community that is quickly forming around Kashtan is constantly replenished with new blood and fresh ideas where musicians exchange personal experiences and ideas.
The releases of Kashtan will be executed in a rather unusual format: it will be a limited series of collectible packs, including a USB stick with music and additional multimedia content, as well as other materials. These packs can later be collected into a catalog. Also, the LP will be released digitally on Kashtan's Bandcamp page and all other known online stores.
