The sky was a bitter shade of ominous black, the occasional flicker and flash of stars could be seen darting across the stiff backdrop only to vanish as quickly as they had emerged. Any minute now it seemed as if something might give way - an astral catalyst for something more, something greater than we might ever be capable of understanding. Once upon a time they said that it had all started with a great big boom, now what? Was this the next in the series? 

bonebrokk is set to release a new EP on Infinite Machine, a futuristic bass heavy affair destined for big soundsystems and dark rooms. The release also comes neatly wrapped up with a remix by one of the UK's most infamous techno pioneers, Surgeon. There isn't any messing about here.

Canadian born, Berlin based producer Aquarian debuts on Dekmantel Records’ UFO imprint with Mutations I & II, a series of two EPs following his debut album The Snake That Eats Itself and his collaborative records as AQXDM. The series marks his return to club focused solo material for the first time since 2017.

Originally written as inflection points for his typically boisterous and genre collapsing dj sets, Mutations deftly splices the foundational DNA of his earliest productions — electro, hardcore and broken beat techno – with new and vital influences.

Mutations I: Death, Taxes and Hanger finds Aquarian gleefully contorting mid-2000s dnb tearouts, wrong footed IDM and progressive trance euphoria into thrilling new shapes. Fast techno, hi-tek jazz, amphetamine-addled filter house and breakcore join the fray in Mutations II: Delicious Intent as he pushes intensity levels past breaking point. Whichever the touchstone, the results are clear: distinctly modern, highly-propulsive body music with an unapologetically emotive core.

Making no fewer than three contributions across Patrúin's inaugural LP, Oli's 'VTSD' sits at the more raucous end of the spectrum. The opening movements are submerged in a swirling vortex of piercing synth work and immersive sound design; enter the hi-hats, and in and instant, all hell breaks loose. Slamming, overdriven kicks come crashing down in tandem with iridescent chord stabs, driving proceedings forward in a hair-raising symbiosis of synth and drum.
