Microwaves is thrilled to host Romanian talent Funk E(@funk-e-1), with solid roots as a DJ in the post-communist freshly born Romanian hip hop culture, Funk E started to taste the techno sweetness somewhere in the early 2000s’. 

Labels like Adult Only, Raum…musik, Kurbits, Pleasure Zone or The Rabbit Hole added Funk E into their catalog. And when he felt the need to express his musical ideas more freely, a new child was born: Great Empty Circle (@great-empty-circle), his very own imprint started in 2015, reserved exclusively for his tunes, also under Bhikkhu and Marvin Gain aliases.

A conscious explorer of the past and future sounds, Funk E demonstrates this effortlessly in his set with wobbly basslines, swung rhythms and tripped out melodies.
