Gareth Morris (GwEm) has left a deep landmark on the chipmusic culture. His music-editor maxYMizer inspired many new talents to compose chipmusic for the Atari STe. When it comes to the german composer Christian Hellmanzik (Tangens/FOXX) some might remember only one special tune from the Mindbomb Demo. But since he released a lot more pieces, but especially soundtracks. Saying that he actually came out with a new ST-Chiptune called Lettrix, whereby he connects to his signature sound of the beginning 90s. In the era of where the Atari ST sound scene was dominated by the routines of Mad Max, Tangens already has developed his own sound-art with striking drums and a kind of experimental space age-feel you very seldom find.

Gareth Morris' interpretation of Nick Scarim's only ever written series of game soundtracks for Spy vs. Spy. GwEm released his cool chip-beat'n version in 2012.

Nicolas Flandin has started with music programming on the ST in 2007 and pushed out quite a mass of 17th tunes in the first year! His newer elaborated chipmusic compositions sound quite different from the norm. He incorporates high quality sample drums and mixes them with sid-like voicing to a unique yet minimalistic electro-cocktail.

Gunnar Gaubatz (Big Alec) is one of the classic composer on the Atari ST and raised the level of Chipsound on the YM a bit higher in the early nineties. He was very eager with producing accurate chip-drums which sounds nearly like sampled. This was before the scene opened up and new programming-techniques evolved. Hiw works are still outstanding in comparison. With "Prophecy" he has managed to incorporate new techniques, he called it his crown-jewel, his magnus-opus.
