In my personal dating experience, the only thing as equally unpredictable as the weather of my hometown is the emotional state of woman I'd happen to be dating at the time. This is an ode to this...phenomena....& to loving each other through it- no...more- BECAUSE of it.

Because "dynamic >>>> static, because its when she doesn't show any emotion  that you should really worry, & because the post-arguments "smang" is most often worth every minute.

H.U.D.S.:
written out of the frustration of being Black in a country that still consider my people unarmed & surrendered disproportionately more of a threat than someone white & responsible for deaths. 

H.U.D.S. stands for Hands Up Don't Shoot.

H.U.D.S. stands for Heads Up DisplayS, as sometimes walking/driving/sitting/shopping/anything while black is too much like a first-person shooter in which you are taught a radar for danger but rarely armed with anything but compliance

H.U.D.S. represents the value with which racist police & prejudice citizens treat people of color to this day.

H.Ü.D.S = Hoods. All of ours. Because if you think this level of police corruption & brutality leveraged against the community its employed to protect is an isolated incident in Ferguson, then you slept right through your alarm. Stay woke.

Patience is often championed as a virtuous thing while on the journey to a goal. But sometimes that wait in the meantime becomes a gravity in and of itself.

This song is, in a sense, how I learned the carry of that wait/weight. A testament to navigating that inbetween. I've been patient aplenty, but there comes a time when you must go take what you want. And, for me, that time has come.

As a kid, I was an avid Street Fighter addict (hell, I can still get down on the DownForward
Fierce Punch), and while my personal ass-kicking preference was Ken or Blanka, I always admired Dhalsim. For one, very few people I scrapped against chose him. He wasn't very popular. But anyone knows that if you knew how to use him right he could whoop even Bison's ass without too much of a sweat. 

WIth that said, this is my anthem to, like, myself, and everyone else who felt similar to this, felt "Dhalsim". Felt looked over, underestimated, ignored, marginalized. This is for the awkward, for the in-between, for the fire inside. This is for the patient, waiting for their chance to show & prove. And for the muh'fuckas who like BARS lol. Enjoy
