Working with two of my favorite apps on norns so far--awake and glut. 
 Using glut to mix a processed and pitched awake arpeggiation.  Piling on the various glut tracks as things go on.  More reverb, filtering, eq and dynamics processing done after recording in ableton.

Exploring the rebound app on norns.  Using the korg nanokontrol2 to have control over the engine (params like cutoff, release, resonance, and pulse width).  serial delays (polymoon -> re-20) create the ping ponging.

This use the earthsea app run through delays and reverb.

contemplation ii

This started with a sampled 303 patch from samples from mars, sequenced using polygome from the monome terms max for live pack.  This sequence was further modulated with an arpeggiator and some other midi effects devices and duplicated into 3 separated tracks.

I took these and brought them quickly in and out into the monome norns' loops app, a mysterious rhythmic looper that has a blank screen and no description of the controls.  I took this and processed it using rings/elements, and into my delay->heat pedal setup.  I recorded this as the backing drone that starts the track.

Then, I took the 3 melodic sequences, changed to a different 303 intrument patch, and ran those through the delay-> heat pedal setup.  This became the higher register that comes in towards the end of the piece.

Finally, I took the two recorded tracks, messed with various automation to make them flow into each other better, and then ran through the pedals one last time.

monome norns kayan app, slowly hand-modulating reveal.  gain staging by bring the level up from norns with mi veils and then bringing back down with mannequins rip.  delays from meris polymoon and boss re-20 for delays, meris mercury7 and valhalla vintage verb (chorus space mode) provide reverb.
