He expertly links the dots within mesmerizing drum grooves, tied together by subtle imperfections. Wonky rhythms layered with loads of sub and razor sharp twitches could be seen as a blueprint for Hesselink's productions. Excellent percussive club tools for playful DJ sets, where tools as we know them could be flat and loopy, in these jams there's a whole lot more to explore.

This is my first ambient podcast, and I really enjoyed composing it. I built it like a slow, contemplative daydream, a peaceful and luminous inner journey, often imbued with a gentle melancholy - at times intriguing or even slightly unsettling, to contrast with the rest. "ASCENSION" is the debut album release from artist ston, an independently released project. 

For Ascension, I set out to explore hard house, bassline, and electronic elements throughout.

This body of work means a lot to me; it took up six months of my life and taught me so much about music production. It also taught me the importance of committing to what you set out to achieve and the struggles that can come with that. Most importantly, it showed me that imperfection is okay when the alternative is procrastination.

I created this album using the DAW FL Studio, and as of its release, I’ve begun transitioning to Ableton, a commitment I set for myself when I first began this project.
Through this experience, I’ve learned that moving forward, I want to dive into more intricate ideas and trust my creative process without falling into the trap of comparing my work to others. I’m eager to experiment with more abstract percussions, deeper emotional progressions, and unconventional grooves. It’s going to be a journey, but I’m excited for it to begin.

Seoul-based dub techno powerhouse, Oslated continues to expand its impressive catalog with the latest outing, "Mujo" LP by Japanese talent Shun Watanabe aka Doltz. 
10-track album also features remixes by Brussels own Adhémar and French prodigy Olorun.

In "Henka To Eien," the track we have pleasure premiering today, Doltz demonstrates his talent in the 'less is more' approach. "Henka to Eien" is a driving dark, eerie techno track that doesn't lose intensity and energy throughout its journey like a haunted time-traveling steam train at full speed. The metallic echoey synth tones intensify the uncanny feeling that follows this train to its final destination, the mystic year of Eien. 

"Mujo" LP is coming out via Oslated on October 30th.
