Italian & English independent artist Angelina Luzi returns, releasing her first song of the year ‘Silent Moon’, an alt-pop/soft rock indie track - imagine a utopian collaboration between The Cranberries and Jeff Buckley with infectious synth lines, a strong hook at 1.08 and appealing lyrics. Angelina’s sentiment and trademark stylings feature throughout a vibrant composition, epic melodies and magnificent sound produced by frequent collaborator Nick Burns.
Angelina Luzi explains “Silent Moon was written in a moment of loss of direction, when the only reassuring feeling would come by watching the moon and its soothing cycles, waiting and hoping for answers to come while torn apart, head and heart. I hope this song gives the same strength and hope to my listeners too”.
The single Silent Moon will be self released on 10th Feb 2023, a single from her eagerly anticipated debut album due to be released in the fall of this year.

On mother's day in Italy Angelina Luzi releases her second single of the year called ‘Nessuna Come Te’ (No one like you), a beautiful and very touching folk ballad dedicated to her mother and written mainly in her first language, Italian.

On this track Angelina works again with frequent collaborator Nick Burns on production, features Nicole Collarbone on cello and is released with  this music / lyrics video, beautifully created by her brother, Tommaso Luzi.

About this single Angelina writes: “‘For the first time I really understood what fear really felt like. I did not think I was going to be able to write a song about the toughest moment of my life witnessing my mother battling with breast cancer but I did it as a form of protection, or pray so to speak although I'm not married to any particular religion. We were close and strong before but these events brought us together as a family even more. This song is for my mother, the amazing and inspiring woman she is. Now that she is better I would like this song to reach and sooth anyone who is going through this journey and give them strength knowing there can be a positive ending”.

Congratulations to CICAS® member, Michelle O'Faith who has won a PRSF Women Make Music Award 2016. Her Debut EP ' No Romance In China' was well received, with co-signings by notable publications including Hunger Magazine. Michelle has grown with us since first having joined the Budding Musicians Club in 2001. She then received a BMC Bursary Award in 2003,funded by The Midi Music Company, to study at the Blackheath Conservatoire. In 2008 she joined our Artist Development programme, working with MMC tutors Phil Greenwood and Rachel Bennett, who helped to develop her songwriting skills and vocal techniques. She continues to be supported by the CICAS® programme, having access to 121 career advice and access to industry. We are thrilled for her and hope you can show support by listening to her music.

Women Make Music will fund Michelle‘s highly anticipated 2nd EP – working title Birthday Blues. Funds will go towards the recording of five new songs; a promotional campaign; filming of music videos; hire of a band for live dates at London venues, with the goal of joining the festival circuit in 2017.
