This "In Memoriam" episode is dedicated to DJ PALOTAI. In November 2023, one of the most iconic DJs of Hungary, DJ Palotai (Zsolt Palotai) passed away at the age of 62. Since the early '90s, Zsolt was one of the first DJs in Hungary who began to play modern electronic, break, techno and dnb music in Hungary. He was one of the founders of Budapest-based Tilos Radio. Zsolt has been the most remembered DJ and host of the radio ever since. For more than three decades, he played at numerous parties and festivals in Hungary and abroad as well. In remembrance, we are playing his DJ-set recorded back in June 2023 at the Cökxpôn tent, at the annual fundraising festival of Tilos Radio, the Tilos Maraton.

The special Australian sunset light mixed with the dust created a mystic moment around the smiling people dancing on the dancefloor...Thank you for this experience, I will never forget it! ♥️

Born at the breaking of acid house in 1988 – Midinoize has electronic music in his blood. His taste in music crosses genres – Having dabbled in house, techno and drum & bass scenes, dipping his toe in a wide range of beats as he honed his sound. Back to 2022 – Midinoize conjures his sets from a range of beats taking in techno, progressive house and certain flavours of deep tech house. At home on the decks – he loves playing long sets as he ́s spent so much time on the dancefloor – playing records is second nature. Having built his reputation from the Portuguese underground dance music sence – he is now widely booked for events across his home country and further afield. Having broken into production he has developed a unique Midinoize sound which he has spent many years in the studio defining.
Midinoize is also the label manager of Simply Noise Records, Owner of Harbour Music Shelter, 1⁄4 Escuro and a member of LX Music.
