One of the most epic disco tracks ever made and the best Patrick Cowley record no one has heard of! Massive stuff, be sure not to miss the 9:00 mark.
This is a very, very rare pressing which is slightly different from, but way better then his Megamix of this track. I'm still looking for this particular original source material to make a proper quality re-edit. For now, I upped it a bit and extended only the intro a bit, making it a bit more dj-friendly. Expect an re-edit of this track in one of my upcoming mixes.

London club legend and Skids drummer Rusty Egan says: “As I found Soft Cell, I had a relationship with Seymour Stein, who called me to say he had discovered this amazing girl. I was in New York for the New Music Seminar and got to meet Seymour and Madonna in Danceteria. Mark Kamins enthusiastically told me Madonna was brilliant and that I should book her in London. All I did was agree with them both.

“Seymour sent me the master for a UK mix and I booked Madonna to do a PA at the club and to sing my mix. She declined, as she wasn’t keen on my version. She did her own show and joked with me that I was a crap DJ from the stage. Later, at Trident Studios, she said she wasn’t joking and hated my mix.”

	Unique mixes on both sides, remixed by Rusty Egan, so the a-side is neither the UK album mix nor the US edit. And the dub version is not the same as the one you will find on the US 12" either.

The UK 12" also had different mixes, once again both unique.

I read somewhere that Madonna heard them, didn't particularly like them, so there was no desire nor demand for them to reappear in the US. I think one of the UK 12" mixes has appeared on another single somewhere overseas, but none of these mixes have ever been made available on CD or in the US, as far as I know.
