Blanc Manioc, an avant-garde label and true incubator of the African electronic scene, is celebrating its five-year anniversary with the launch of the first volume in the Hyper Manioc series.

To mark this milestone with you—the ever-growing and curious audience eager to discover the artists and connections cultivated by Blanc Manioc, as well as by Maquis Electroniq (the organization that supports African artists and produces the festival and events of the same name in Abidjan, Dakar, and Lyon)—this volume features a series of electrifying and original collaborations.

At the heart of this compilation is a simple idea: to revisit the label’s iconic tracks by entrusting them to the vibrant French club scene. DJs, producers, and collectives active in the nightlife world reimagine the Blanc Manioc universe, injecting it with fresh energy. Featured are the powerful anyoneID (La Créole, Mina, Bryte), and the high-energy BJF, who delivers a remarkable remix of MC Waraba’s "Djoro"—a track made legendary with his collective Couvre x Chefs, all of whom are highly active in Paris.

Montpellier’s Chô Club collective, known for their wild parties, reinterprets "Fumay" with their leader Mendi at the controls. Nigerian rapper Aunty Rayzor is also remixed by Swiss producer Luvanga.

The single dropping on July 4 is an unreleased track by producer Hey Bony, who, thanks to the label’s team, collaborates here with Ivorian rapper Marla. The result? An explosive cocktail of bouyon and nouchi rap: raw, punchy, and irresistibly addictive.

The compilation opens with a gem: a surprising remix of "Club Dunia", transformed into "Dub Dunia" by the legendary Stand High Patrol. This musical journey, stretching from Bamako to Brittany, blends MC Waraba’s Mandingo rap with the dubadub sounds of the Breton soundsystem. The outcome: an unexpected and captivating fusion, an irresistible groove with a powerful message—both anti-war and celebratory of life. This highly contagious track sets the tone for the Hyper Manioc EP, scheduled for release on July 11, 2025, via Blanc Manioc.
