Music producers Afriknik, DJ Maseyo and a bunch of friends have come together to write a great new song of hope and offer it as a free download to anyone who donates to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.  We wish to raise awareness and funds in a new, fun way!

"A New Day" is inspired by DJ Maseyo who was diagnosed with MS in 2004.

About the song:
The lyrics simply reflects the deep emotional state from the mind of someone confronted with a stressful situation; loaded with fear, despair and uncertainties. Managing to arrive at a place filled with Hope through understanding, resilience of spirit and sheer determination is a feat. An inspiration to dig deeper whenever confronted with adversity and a reminder for us all to plant more seeds of love and understanding for a better tomorrow. 

The style of music is a mix of old and new school in techniques, rhythm and sounds selection.   A driving reggae type bass, funked up by layering a distorted sub. Drums with urban pop flair and other stuff but the warm, gentle and enveloping vocals makes it all soothing despite of the drama. 

We decided on this strategy to represent the fact that it is just like the process of feeling better. The aspirations are ALL the same. Various degrees of the same aspiration.

I don't wanna hurt no more

When you think about it, where is the difference between RnB, Pop, Rap, Dubstep and Dance music? I will say almost none. Today, they are blending in ways never expected. And to tell you the truth, I quite like that. 

Here is our remix of Lets Go. Neyo's vocals fitted perfectly on Calvin Harris production. 

To approach this remix, a decision was made to create new movements for the song without loosing its essence. We created new bass lines and and synth  for our ideas.  New drum pattern were also created to match. 
We also focused on  Neyo's vocals but we also got support from Prodigal who laid down a cool upbeat rap that took the remix to another field. We wanted a good club track. Did we achieve it? I am dancing right now :-)  
No seriously, we love Calvin Harris and Neyo's original version but we hope you like this one as well, share it and continue your support for music.
