The Pugilist Pit, one of the ultimate forms of entertainment for the citizens of Paragon City. After the emergence of FleshTec, human body parts are as disposable as car parts. So, naturally, The Payara comes up with a plan. "Take the concept of a Fight Club, a bunch of Joe's get together in a basement and kick the crap out of each other for a few dollars." "Why not gamble their fancy new bio-tech instead?" 'Come to the Pit and take what's yours, no holds barred brutality. Two men enter, one man leaves.' Low and behold, it takes off beyond belief. The Pugilist Pit is now one of the premier events in all of Paragon City. Freaks from all over the wastes come in looking to make a name for themselves, and upgrade their bodies in the process. Most leave in a body bag, but the ones that prove themselves usually wind up working for the man himself. The Pugilist Pit has made The Payara the most powerful (and most feared) man in Paragon City.

Unbeyond Anthologies are pleased to present LUCID’s solo debut on the label in the form of her new EP, “Found Footage”.

Opening on a stark and desolate note with “on a dark and stormy night” that sets the tone for what is to come, this project mixes ghastly deathstep atmospheres and production with a thrilling retro futuristic horror theme. Songs such as “Good Intentions” and “Foreshadowing” throw their weight around with devastating impact, a seamless blend of old and new sonic textures.

“ALARM” slows down the pace with heaving sound design and wailing melodies, the tempo mirrored by the title track with its sinuous growls and anthemic synthwave leads. “Survive” contains frazzled flows and dizzying trap percussion, while the closer “Midnight (Credits)” ends on a delightfully ghoulish downtempo drop.

“My first EP since ‘BLOODSHED’ in 2021, and with a much more in-depth tracklist and theme. Speaking of, when starting the title track, I was very into GREYLOCK, an online analog horror with some found footage segments, with the title track directly themed to tape 10 of the series. The more general musical ideas and tone started finding their way into more of my projects of the time and continued to be fleshed out until I collected the songs and made the theme more concrete.” said LUCID. “Although not personally attached to me like my albums, I do find this to be a very important step in my music, so I hope it shows. This track started with a really unusual sound design experiment. I routed the FM radio from my OP-1 into my soundcard, recorded some people talking in French. I have no idea what they were saying, but after cutting some bits out and post processing the little vocal chops, I ended up with what ended up being the main bass of this tune. Rumble. Although it’s hard to tell, If you listen closely you can still hear the vocal characteristics in it, especially in the little bass right before the drop.
