Kali Ma is the Hindu goddess known for killing demons.  

I wrote this song thinking of the enormous (and wealthy) corporations in Seattle, people who walk past hundreds of homeless on the streets of Seattle every day.

This song is about the rich corporations in Seattle who seem blind to the ten-thousand homeless people living right on their doorstep.  More generally, it is about humanity being so caught up with things that don't matter that we forget what does:  our people.
