Home On The Range has always been one of my favorite songs. I have sang it all my life. This version was recently recorded in the studio during my sessions for the new Midnight Kahuna album. I do not have plans on releasing it on the new album because it does not really at home with the new material. It is nonetheless a beautiful tune and with the backing of my new label, Savage Patty Records, I have had the financial backing to play around in the studio that I have never had before and am having fun with ideas like this. Diego Lopez, the sound engineer, and I wanted to capture the natural vibrato in my voice and layer the song progressively with just my vocals to give it that kind of Gregorian Chant feel. An American West Spiritual if you will. Some hall was added to the chorus vocals and some minor reverb to the main. Downloads have been enabled for my fans to enjoy this freebee! An old gospel type revival song recorded with a type of 50's early rock n roll feel to it. I first heard it in churches and then I heard Ziggy Marley with Willie Nelson do a version of it and I knew I had to cover it myself. Latest recording for the new album sessions. This probably won't be on the album, I am saving these traditional songs like This Train and Home on the Range for another type of release. Instead, I hope you enjoy it as a single, download and share it. It is public domain so have a ball like I did!

Born in the studio during the, Brave New World, sessions. Writing credits here are shared by Rick, Johnny, and Diego. Fun tune that started out with the congas and bongos. Mixed in some classic stuff from other tunes and voila, we have Tarzan and Kalimba! Enjoy!

This Christmas song is an English traditional yuletide carol from the 17th century. It was first brought to my attention after hearing a version recorded by Sting. I hope you like Midnight Kahuna's version and I hope that it will bring you as much joy as it brought us to record it for your listening pleasure. I Saw Three Ships

Midnight Kahuna releases a new single, "Whiskey In The Jar". It is a traditional Irish drinking song that originated in Ireland sometime in the 17th century. It has been recorded many times since then by many a famous artist and is probably one of the more popular Irish drinking songs around. The song is about a highway man who robs a military captain and then is betrayed by his wife or lover.
