Put two best mates and their cumulative passion for music together and you have yourself one of Brisbane’s finest cover duos. Midnight Sons raised the bar for local duos when they hit the scene three years ago, with venues often singing their praises through the words of Billy Joel “Man, what are you doin’ here?”. 

Rather than fall victim to modern, foot pedal loopin’ gimmicks, Midnight Sons rely on their raw talent and musicianship to present an unforgettable show. Jason’s thick bass tones combined with the use of a wooden stompbox fill any venue with enough groove to capture even the greatest groove master’s attention. Add to this Peter’s striking acoustic guitar tones and you’ve found yourself on the dance floor, even though you had told all your friends that you don’t ever dance in public. 

On top of this soars Peter’s strong vocals, pushing the duo into a class of their own. Ranging from the low bass smoothness of Johnny Cash through to the countertenor rasp of Dave Grohl, Peter excites any audience with his wide vocal techniques. Jason’s backing vocals and harmonies complete the full band sound and extend the duo’s repertoire furthermore with Jason sometimes stepping up to lead vocals. This powerful set up allows for very diverse range of music spanning the last 60 decades. 
Whether it is chilled background music or a rockin’ late night show, Midnight Sons boast an infectious catalogue of songs, ranging from the old classics to the modern, popular hits. No matter what the occasion or venue, there is music for everyone to enjoy. For those still wanting more, Midnight Sons also offer performances as a trio act where they a third member is introduced on drums and electric guitars are added for a full rock band. 

One thing that Midnight Sons do very well is play to the crowd and there isn’t a venue they can’t play. From a roaring Victory Hotel on Saturday night to a laid-back wedding ceremony in the hinterlands, Midnight Sons can tailor their performance for all occasions.
