Story
The Rock of the Bell (Magical Ballad)
In the mountains of Bustelo, where the wind sings among the oaks and mists embrace the valleys at dawn, lived a young shepherdess named Elixane. Her herd of goats was small, but her heart was big, and her song made the ferns bloom even in winter.
Every day, Elixane led her goats to a lonely rock high on the mountain, known to the elders as The Rock of the Bell. They said that on nights of a full moon, the stone vibrated with a deep sound, as if an invisible bell were ringing from within. No one dared to approach it, except for Elixane, who found peace and companionship in her thoughts there.
One afternoon, while she was milking her oldest goat, named Lur, the rock began to glow with a blue glow. From within emerged a creature with galaxy-like eyes and mossy skin: a sardan, a magical being of the forests, half spirit, half animal. He had the form of a winged deer, but his gaze was human, sad, and ancient.
"Do not fear," the Sardan said in a brooklike voice. I was a prince of these lands, enchanted by my pride and imprisoned in this form for centuries. Only pure goodness and the milk of a goat that has never lied could break my curse.
Elixane, without hesitation, offered Lur's milk in a wooden bowl. The Sardan drank it, and instantly, his body transformed into a young man with silver hair and moonlight eyes. The rock split in two, releasing an echo that rang like a celestial bell.
The grateful prince offered Elixane riches and lands, but she only asked that he take care of the forest and protect the magical beings who still slept beneath the stones.
