Over The Rainbow

Midnight Voices is the flagship vocal jazz ensemble at RTHS with a rich tradition of excellence over its 23 years.  During this time, they have always maintained the highest levels of performance, musicality, individual achievement, and personal dedication, always giving the best of themselves to the group and to the community.  It is from this that the title of this CD has come as everything the students do has always been ‘From The Heart.’  

This makes their 6th CD and features the singers from Midnight Voices 21 & 22.  The others include:  Midnight Voices, Here’s To 15, In A Year, Moondance, and Follow Me.  In January of 2017, Midnight Voices was honored to perform at the 8th Annual Jazz Education Network Conference in New Orleans where they were a featured performer on the vocal stage and joined by singer Kim Nazarian.  As a part of their annual Student Music Awards, DownBeat Magazine has distinguished this program as one of the best in the country by presenting us with awards in 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2014.  

This year marks Midnight Voices' 23rd year and is under the direction of Mr. Cory Jones.
