Amidst the dawn of a new century, Martin Jimenez - awol from portuguese military service - and Fransesco Molonov - on the run from nefarious types in Russia, met in a sleepy port town.  The core and the blueprint of Midnight Cabaret was formed in this moment, all involved realising this was the start of a crucial musical prototype.  Ten years passed.  During this time, nothing was known of the individuals concerned, but unexplained media sightings were sporadic.  A run of limited t-shirts appeared in various countries across Europe and a collaborative art project featuring a Midnight Cabaret work, was assembled in southern Europe and spread over the entire globe.  There was also the infamous 2006 Christmas Midnight Mass jam, featuring the two original members and two guests.  This was said to have been an all night downtempo party jam, but no recordings were made, so the validity of the session ever happening is still in question - it could all just be an urban myth to cover the gap left by the cabaret.  Then in 2012, four chaotic days found Jiminez and Molonov together again between London, New York and spurious rumours, laying down the tracks that were to become Midnight Cabaret's sole legacy.  7 tracks of guitar/keyboard fuzz located in the small hours of the morning and feeling the past and heading to the future are here for eternity.  Rumours of Midnight Comedy remain completely unsubstantiated.
