„Aspen“ is the name of Christian Loeffler’s Single before his debut album on Ki called „A Forest“. The name of the single is not to be misunderstood as a dedication to the ski resort in Colorado. It’s rather a dedication to Christian Loeffler’s home region in the north of Germany. Loeffler walked out into the forests near Darss, to take field recordings of the trees that commonly grow in that area, which are called „Aspen“. The landscape near Darss is characterized by signs of storm and rough sea climate, but is also considered as a popular health resort in Germany. The tracks on „Aspen“ create this contrary atmosphere: Noise and silence, destruction and peacefulness, electronic sounds and traditional instruments unite in harmony. The Cover Artwork for „Aspen“ was taken by Christian Loeffler himself in the Forests of Darss.

Returning to the label is Glaswegian producer and composer Jon Cooper, aka Turtle, presenting his new ethereal 4-track EP ‘Acts Of Union EP’.

Born out of his fascination for sound and a desire to entertain his peers, Jon’s journey into music production began in the vibrant electronic scene of late ‘90s and early 2000s Glasgow. Despite having no formal musical training and claiming an inability to read sheet music, Jon’s evolution was profoundly shaped by his surroundings and a commitment to experimentation, gradually moving away from the confines of dance music and embracing a more fluid and experimental sound.

Capturing the ears of renowned documentary filmmaker Fernando Villena, he was commissioned to compose scores for award-winning documentaries such as ‘Any One of Us’, ‘Dear Rider’ and ‘The Aplanist’, exercising his creative freedom, and crafting soundscapes that perfectly complement the visual narratives. 

Turtle’s brand new EP ‘Acts Of Union’ is an enchanting sonic journey, born from spontaneous improvisation and primarily recorded in a single take. Each track blends into the next as he intertwines dreamy synths and minimalist instrumentation, featuring guitars and a timeworn, dusty organ sample. The project is introspective, and crafted to evoke a sense of nostalgia, he summarises this concept as:

“The Acts of Union EP draws its inspiration from the contemplation of mortality as temporary physical vessels and the notion that the spirit, soul, or energy—whatever name you prefer—persists beyond our mortal flesh. The aim was to craft a sonic aesthetic that evokes a sense of nostalgia - a beauty that emerges amidst degradation, akin to enduring vignettes that have weathered the passage of time.”

Release Info: 
Hitting the virtual shelves with another 24 carat release, the 68th release on Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital showcases LA born and Berlin based artist, Galestian, with "Alles Klar". Remixes come from heavyweight producers, Ian O'Donovan and Fat Sushi.

An artist with a strong profile, Arthur Galestian has been involved in dance music for over 15 years. Renowned in LA's underground DJ scene with performances alongside Fehrplay, Grum, and Chris Lake, a nascent production career has seen Galestian come a long way since his 2015 debut for Sui Generiz, remixing Perspectives Digital artists, Kohra and SHFT. Indeed, it was "Rituals" that saw the American sign to Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto Black in early 2018, with "The Gathering" following on the flagship Perfecto Records a year later. Other works for ICONYC, Black Hole, and Plattenbank is now complemented by the outstanding "Alles Klar". 

Opening with a chest-thumping kick, a sparkling arpeggio filters into sonic range with syncopated percussion, textured pads, and pulsating white noise washes. A glissando bassline adds to the aural collage in a track that rises and falls periodically in expert dancefloor fashion.

Hailing from the Dublin capital, Ian O'Donovan requires little in the way of introduction to the Perspectives Digital faithful. Responsible for the iconic "Forever Untold" for the label in 2012 including remixes from Satoshi Fumi and Estroe, the Irish artist has been at the vanguard of the underground dance scene with his distinctive melodies and crisp, immaculate production techniques. A regular on the likes of Drumcode, Bedrock, Intec, Tronic, and Einmusika, O'Donovan's debut for Bedrock titled "Aurora Borealis" took the underground house scene by storm. August 2014's "Dawnbreaker" collaboration with Nick Muir and Digweed himself was another notable highlight. 

Now returning to Darin Epsilon's imprint, the Ian O'Donovan remix is an elegantly crafted reworking that makes intelligent use of Galestian's central arpeggio. Building a beautiful new chord progression that sits atop the musical framework in a shimmering halo, depth and texture is added to "Alles Klar" with a strong foundation and percussive groove that further guarantees dancefloor success.

Successful artists in their own right, the Fat Sushi duo joined forces in 2013 to devastating effect. With over 20 years experience in the underground dance arena, the Swiss duo have traveled across Europe with their captivating DJ sets, while a stellar production career has found Fat Sushi gracing such blue chip imprints as Suara, Stil Vor Talent, Katermukke, Einmusika, Natura Sonoris, DAYS Like NIGHTS, and their own Fat Wax Recordings.

The second EP release from London based label “Interlude” who introduce the artist “Mazzè” a young music maker hailing from Szczecin,   Poland.

"Interlude" is a London based Electronic Music label. Founded eternally in 2019. A creative outlet aimed to explore electronic music in some of its most unique forms, not so much club orientated, neither specifically ambient nor downtempo, but something of an Interlude between. Releasing Deep, Organic sounds with an emotional touch. Connecting new or up and coming music makers from around the world.
For this remix we have “Fluida” who consist of friends Graham and Jake, an emerging UK based music duo, typically performing live on a Hang Drum in their DJ sets. Traversing between headphone listening and euphoric dance floor journeys, Fluida’s music manages to be both club friendly and intimate. The result is a breadth of sound that connects deeply with people both in the early evening and at those special moments in the early hours of the morning.
