NASA’s 65th Psyche laser message caps off a successful test program that beamed ultra-high-definition video from deep space.  Inspired, I composed a Cybernetic Fusion™ style song about it.

Psyche launched in twenty-twenty-three,
Chasing a metal asteroid's secrets.
First signal hit in November's dark,
Ten million miles out, Hale Telescope locked on.
Laser cut clean through the endless night,
Data pouring in, sharp and alive.

Laser beam, slicing the empty space,
Two hundred eighteen million miles, no delay.
Infrared pulse beats the old radio slow,
Thirteen point six terabytes, pulling us close.
From Psyche's core to our screens below,
Ultra-high visions flood the flow!
Beam steady, beam true, that stellar line,
Signals from afar, making the unknown shine.

Sixty-four runs pushed the limits hard,
Nineteen million miles, video locked and clear.
Two sixty-seven megabits per second stream,
UHD frames of the void, pulling everything near.
December stretched it to three-oh-seven mil,
Light signal held firm against the pull.

NASA eyes Mars through this laser path,
Red plains in detail, no more guesswork math.
Sean Duffy calls it the road ahead,
"Gateway to the Red Planet," his words spread.
Clayton Turner nods, the bar raised high,
Starlink speeds from space, touching the sky.
Psyche's metallic core feeds our fire,
Future carved in code, taking us higher.
