migの奏でる
Punk~Hip Hop~80'popを通過した
往年のグランド・ロイヤルを彷彿とさせるジャンルレスな音楽は
リサイクルショップの物陰に眠っているジャンクな機材を掘り起こして創られている。
誰もが見過ごしてしまう過去の遺産にフォーカスをあてて生き返らせる。
それは90年代的だね、なんて簡単な話ではなくて
migがスローガンとして掲げているチープ・パンクって思想に通じるわけ。

ちなみにmigという名はロシアの戦闘機から名付けられていて
もちろんアメリカの大統領専用機エアフォースワンではなくてね。

エアフォースワン(NIKEのスニーカー)を履かなくたってヒップホップはできるし
モヒカン頭にしななくたってパンクロックはできる。
つまり全てはアティチュードの問題。
migを聴いてみんなで踊るもいいし
カセットに録ってスケボーしながら聴いてもいいし
一人ヘッドフォンで静かに楽しんでもいい。
migのアティチュードは自由に基づいていて、どこまでもパンクでヒップホップってわけ。

とりあえず言いたい事は
彼らがホコリまみれの機材をdigして素晴らしい楽曲を生み出しているように
今度は僕たちが日本の音楽シーンからmigをdigする番だ！ってこと

Mig’s tune
Passing through punk, hip-hop, and 80’s pop
Genre-less music reminiscent of the Grand Royal style
Breathing new life into the machines resting in the shade of a junk shop
The forgotten legacies of the past are reborn from their focus
That’s so 90’s, it’s not easy to explain
But mig’s slogan says it all: cheap punk

Anyways, the name mig is named after Russian fighter jets
It’s not America’s Air Force One

Just like you can do hip-hop without wearing Air Force Ones (Nike’s sneakers)
You don’t need a mohawk to be punk rock
In other words it’s all about attitude
You can listen to mig and all dance together
You can put it on cassette and listen while you’re skateboarding
Or you can just put on your headphones and rock out on your own.
Mig’s attitude is based on freedom. Punk and hip hop have no limits

What I’m trying to say is
Mig digs the artifacts that are just collecting dust and gives them new life with their beautiful sounds
So now it’s our time to dig mig from Japan’s music scene!
