There were storm clouds rising over Donegal,
It was sixteen years ago.
But the memories still linger on,
When the waves went crashing  through the seaweed and the stones.

And the tall trees scattered in the morning rain,
To hide the rising of the sun.
When the wind spared nothing in it’s race through time,
Where the old men sheltered and the reason wasn’t hard to find.

And the sound of music floating through the air,
It beckoned us to stay.
With the fiddles and the whistles and the bodrhan drums,
Where the rhythms and the rhymes joined the old men and the young.

And the couples in the corners of the bars and pubs,
Played a game of kiss and tell.
Were they clinging to each other for their very souls ?
Were they trying to discover which direction their lives should go ?

MOTOR-SIZER[jim manser and chris living]

This music is designed to evoke a sense of inner liberation. I wrote this to represent overcoming insurmountable odds, striving for freedom through strength of character, or merely chasing your dreams and never giving up. The piece is fairly short and builds on a strong rhythmic drum and clap beat to represent the constant thrum of life and unrelenting force of nature. The music builds steadily using orchestration to evolve rather than variation of themes. I used multiple guitar and mandolin tracks to create the strong chord pulse. Midway through the piece I bring in a bluegrass tinged mandolin solo representing the point where struggles become secondary to the joy of life; the flurry of notes is the release to the previous tension.

thought it was time to return with a more stripped down sound ,been contemplating writing a song with the theme of digital migration,or how we are slowly losing our spirituality from over use of technology,the first verse is kind of about how town centers are becoming  rundown with binge drinking and closed down shops,and a need to seek shelter in the quite of the woods..
Ive used a bit of tambourine and some hand-drums here and there ...hope you like it..

Again the recording isn't brilliant but its the best I could do with my phone. Also, you'll probably be able to hear the wind aswell! Hope you enjoy it.

All music is original and written by one of us. There is 2 acoustic guitarist/singers and bassist , the songs on our set are not finished  yet and are just a rough copy as we need some piano and violins on some tracks and of course drums as well before we finish them off.
