"Sean Strange"

Sean Strange was Born Sean Michael Gillen in Queens, New York. He is an American hip hop artist known mostly for his extreme honest lyrics and distinctive voice. Even though he started writing lyrics and learning to produce beats at the age of 13, he has been developing himself on a serious level for the past 10+ years. From the year 2008 to the present day Sean has released 14 projects including 3 in chain stores worldwide. Today he finds himself a seasoned independent artist and label owner with over 500 live shows under his belt since the year 2008 including concerts throughout Europe, Canada & the United States. In addition to his wealthy show resume, Sean has been part of and responsible for the sale over 100,000 record sales worldwide based on his solo effort and collaborations with Snowgoons, D12, Psycho Logical Records & more.

 

In 2010 he released his debut solo album “Street Urchin” to critical acclaim. The album, independently released, was the culmination of his years of hard work and development as a solo artist. The album sold thousands of copies worldwide and enabled Sean to embark on his first international tour, making stops throughout Europe and Canada.  This release was highlighted by the video for his lead off single  “Walk The Line” placing second in MTVU’s “Freshman” competition.

 

In 2013 he released a full length album with hip hop legend and pioneer PMD of the world famous rap group EPMD titled "Welcome To The Goondox" which is in stores right now with over 10,000 units sold. This album led to increased exposure and acclaim for Sean’s lyrical and songwriting abilities. He once again toured throughout the US, Canada and Europe, highlighted by opening for the multiplatinum selling hip hop group D12’s Northeastern US tour.

 

While attending to the business side of music, Sean made time to release two free album releases in 2012 and 2014 titled “Truth Serum” and “Subliminal Facebook Comments” to further the momentum and exposure he gained from his previous releases. Both albums have garnered tens of thousands of downloads.


Sean is now gearing up to release the new full-length album for which he teamed up with producer Mighty Fuzz Young titled "Return From Rejection". The single for the album "Independence Day" is being released July 4th, 2014. Following the new album he will be executive producing a full-length project for Swifty McVay of the world famous group D12 from Eminem's Shady Records. It's safe to say we will see big things from this man in the near future, especially now being the owner of his own record label titled "Nah Bro Entertainment" which he co founded with his blood brother Jay Gill.

"Mighty Fuzz Young" 


Graig “Mighty Fuzz” Young is a producer from Ridgewood Queens, New York.  Where many producers have a signature sound, Mighty Fuzz Young has the unique ability to create music with many different artists from various genres.  With his name buzzing in the NYC hip-hop community, Mighty Fuzz Young collaborated with artists such as Pitbull, Uncle Murda, Joell Ortiz, Grafh, Swifty McVay, Kuniva, and Bizarre from D12, Tragedy Khadafi, Sean Strange, and Jin- just to name a few.  In 2006, he dropped his first mixtape, For My Generals, hosted by DJ Superstar Jay.  This project had a strong-hitting New York hip-hop feel and received a great response from his fans.  In 2010, Mighty Fuzz Young dropped For My Generals 2.0, also hosted by DJ Superstar Jay.  From the success of this mixtape, DJ Kay Slay and DJ Enuff of Hot 97, had multiple songs in rotation.  Mixtape DJs around the world, along with online radio shows picked up nearly half the songs off FMG2 to place them on their own projects.  Mighty Fuzz Young is currently working side-by-side with Sean Strange on their new album, Return From Rejection with newly released single, “Independence Day.”

The connection between Sean Strange & Saigon began when Sean was running a club in New York in which he had the club owners book Saigon for Mighty Fuzz Young's album release party in 2010. They had the chance to chop it up and get to know each other and discuss possibly working in the future. Fast forwarding to 2012, Sean was on tour in Europe while promoting his 2012 album "The Truth Serum". It turned out that 2 of the show he was booked for was to open for Saigon & Slaughterhouse. Saigon had a chance to see that Sean was not just a local artist & that Sean had his own existing fan base and cult following as well as a strong merchandise presence which allowed Saigon to see the power in Sean's movement. So after doing those 2 shows together they exchanged contacts. Now it 2014 they finally made plans to work together and with Sean doing a full length album with producer Mighty Fuzz Young it seemed perfect to have Fuzz come in and produce this record. So we bring you "Hear You Calling" Sean Strange & Mighty Fuzz Young ft Saigon. Attached is a picture from the night of the recording.
