Mauro Nuñez is a DJ/Producer from San Clemente del Tuyú, Argentina. Known for his Progressive style that takes listeners through various genres while maintaining the essence of Progressive House.
 
Within his remarkable career, Mauro has worked with renowned record labels such as Droid 9 S.A, South America Avenue, Celestial Records, and SINCITY.
 
Throughout his journey, he has shared the stage with both national and international artists such as Juan Deminicis, Nick Varon, Emi Galván, John Cosani, Sebastián Busto, Fernando Ferreira, Andrea Casino and Paul Deep among others.

Captivated by the sounds of progressive and goa-psytrance, he began DJing at parties, playing underground house and techno long before they gained mainstream traction. As the global electronic music scene evolved, so did his passion, leading him to refine his production skills and develop a signature sound that blends his diverse musical influences.

Today, AKIVA channels the essence of world music, jazz, classical, and early techno into his ethereal, deep, and immersive productions. His music transcends boundaries, capturing the spirit of underground dance floors while embracing the timeless melodies that define the genre.

Hello and welcome once again to the Depth Perception Sessions.

Ushering in the spring with some warm progressive vibes we welcome superstar Dutch duo Callecat to bring us Episode #118.

Callecat is the musical fusion between Koen & Gijs who share their passion for music. They have both been DJing separately and together they have more than 30 years of international DJ experience in various genres. In 2017, the duo started collaborating for some studio work, inspired by artists like Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Eelke Kleijn and Guy J. This resulted in lots of fun, and releases on The Soundgarden, Manual Music, Mango Alley, Movement Recordings, 3rd Avenue, Deep Down, and a lot more. As they share a passion for progressive deep house, they strive to bring you a warm, melodic and driving sound.

In 2024 this resulted in their album Symbiosis, a collaboration project between Callecat and 12 other progressive house artists, from the wildest corners of the world. From Berlin to Ibiza and from Russia to Argentina. Recently the remix album started to be released, kicked off with a remix coming from Hernan Cattaneo & Jamie Stevens, which immediately hit the #2 rank in the progressive house charts on Beatport. The coming months another 10 remixes will be released, finishing in June 2025 with the Deluxe Album. As the name already suggests, everything in this project is about the symbiosis. Between the 2 Callecat gents, between Callecat and other artists, between artists and their listeners, fans and people on the dancefloor: Nobody can do it alone and we give this scene its beauty by doing and sharing it all together, a perfect Symbiosis. 

Mid 2025 Callecat plans to start a Symbiosis event series in various clubs in Europe. In among others Serbia, Mallorca, the UK.

Miguel Progressive 2000 Part 2

Miguel was born in 1980 and is interested in electronic music at a very young age thanks to his cousin.
At the age of 14 he buys his first turntables and his first records, he will initially play in many parties which allows him to make acquaintances in the world of the night, his DJ career really begins in 1999 with a booking at the legendary Mackenzie Club where he will be regularly invited...
In 2001 he participates in the famous «48h of pleasure».
It was in 2003 that he obtained his first residence next to Jochen in room 1 of the fabulous club «La Bush».
In 2004 after several invitations, Miguel is a resident of the club «Le Garden» which is located in Le Touquet (France).
His musical style was influenced at first by the music of Phi-Phi (Extreme), then that of Sasha, John Digweed, Nick Warren and now Guy J and Hernan Cattaneo...
His passion for music allowed him to perform alongside the greatest DJ’s on the Belgian stage and some international, in many bars and clubs in Belgium and northern France.
Now he plays regularly on Xbeat radio (www.xbeat.org).
