If you are into the type of techno-infused house beats that drive dancefloors crazy, there's very little chance that you haven't yet heard of Jay Lumen, one of the most prolific tech-house producers in today's scene. Having recently remixed Green Velvet's "Bigger Than Prince" and with releases in some of the most notorious labels around including a previous EP in OFF, we had to have him back for another exquisite pair of tracks in our beloved OFFSPIN eclectic series.

It doesn't get any groovier than "Dusty Memories", the first track in the EP is a dancefloor burner, with a swinged house beat, a huge bassline and a very catchy vocal work. Stabs and intensive tension throughout the breakdowns plus very well crafted arrangements blend together for a sure hit.

Things get darker on "Empty Ghetto Bastard" and indeed, its a journey into the ghetto with heavy drum hits, rap scattered vocals, big synth stabs and a jacking drum pattern to drive everyone insane. This one is truly oriented to the clubs while, as always, gathering all the melodic ingredients to keep the energy flowing.

<p>Matt Sassari gets straight to business as he opens up with the title track, letting the snappy rhythm section lead the way while an assortment of tense synths battle each other over the rumbling sub bass. The sparser &#8220;Crak Amount&#8221; is up next, led by its rocksteady groove and otherwordly robotic stabs. Mangled, spoken-word passages simply add to the madess and sharp claps clear the air.<br />
 On the EP&#8217;s closer, distressed stabs come together with spacious effects, leading to a post-apocalyptic breakdown as pitched-down vocals are joined with off-kilter atmospherics for a claustrophobic ride.</p>

After releasing on various labels like Rusted Records, Groovant or Kinetika Records, Matt Mor finally debuts with his Rakata / Discordant EP on his very own label Panterre Musique, that he founded with Matt Sassari in 2014.
Starting off with Rakata, the vocal driven Tech House banger represents Matt's various influences over the past years. While trusting simple sinus-basslines, the percussions stay groovy and cut through the mix like a knife.
Discordant is full of filtered dark atmospheric sounds that shine in the mix and give the track a nice dark atmosphere. The scary pad builds up the break until the main beat drops again that represents Matt's favourite style of electronic music, melodic driven Techno beats.

To The Underground Vol.7 begins with Ed Is Dead & Danny Deep’s “Africa Wins“. A cutting edge, wild tech house bomb, that features a raw bassline, which was designed to deliver precise sub-frequencies. The jungle-style african male vocals and the rolling groove programming are keeping things moving forward in an epic way.

Next up is Roter & Lewis Feat. Samuri & DS’ shadowy “We Get Up”. This peak time weapon consists of the perfect club night vibes: Pitched sleazy vocals, a barking bassline and moody chords. 

Stuttgart’s very talented veteran DJ & producer Jochen Pash takes us on a four to the floor adventure. Warm melodic layers, sleek chords and a bumping, finely compressed tech-house groove are the bedrock for “Ya Luv”. It’s energetic breaks guarantee dancefloor mayhem!

Sharply morphing, synthesized frequencies drill themselves through a tight knit net of massive hi-hat layers, while the rocky chords provide the right amount of energy. Hansol & Deep Spelle also manage to playfully inject a bit of hi-tech funk into their “Speaking Bassline” arrangement.

The distinct feature of Sebastian Xottelo & Archila “Egocentric Humans” is it’s haunting, transforming melody and enormous bassline that supports the engaging vocal pieces in the most stylish way. 

Bruno Sox and Ill-Boy Phil are rounding off this fine pile of first-rate electronic music. Their “Do What You Want” is all about the distinctive and intense technotic groove. Horn patterns lead the way through delay-soaked percussion sounds and twisted builds.

Hot off his highly acclaimed 'Collapse EP' with Danny Serrano on Leena, the talented Alexander Aurel is getting ready for a new EP, and today, we're excited to premiere one of the songs off the upcoming Fall in Love EP. "Those Days" is a moody and bassline-driven track that brings forth the mental image of a fast car speeding through tall buildings in the darkest of night. Simple and yet incredibly powerful, the song is enigmatic in its nature and will surely be a song we'll be hearing in dark warehouses throughout the summer. 

Fall In Love EP will be released on Beatport Exclusive May 15th and the full release May 29th on 8bit.

GRACIAS EP is the result of a remix contest sponsored by Miguel Bastida, Be One records and Click-On Music. 'GRACIAS' was a manifestation of everything that Miguel Bastida felt and lived with music, since he started 15 years ago until now. That is why this track was offered for free download last year. 

After the great success, Be One Records decided to make a remix contest in order to motivate others to create their own idea of this track. The original and the selected remixes are published in this Be One release. All the sales coming from the GRACIAS EP will be donated to Jose Manuel, a child suffering a progressive degenerative neuromuscular disease. 

For us, Be One is not only music, but everything related to feelings and solidarity too. If all of use try to Be One with the others, we will make of this world a better place to live in. Miguel Bastida’s (1984, Granada, Spain) career has been steadily going up since he started DJing with only 14 years old, in the local radio station of his hometown, Alhama de Granada.
Nowadays living in Barcelona, Miguel has become one of the most in-demand Spanish artists worldwide, due to his versatility, great musical selection and charisma dominating the dancefloor.

Miguel’s influences initially came from bands as The Prodigy or The Chemical Brothers, and also from harder styles, like hardtechno and breakbeats. Besides, he had one of South Spain’s electronic music strongholds close to home: Industrial Copera. There, DJs as Ben Sims or Cristian Varela left a huge impression on Bastida, who also looked up to artists such as Nathan Fake, James Holden or Alex Under, during the golden years of minimal techno.

Miguel already dominated the mixing craft when he turned 16. After his first nights out, the idea of music production started to come to his mind. Picturing sounds with each song he listened to, Bastida started gathering with friends with the same ideas and taste for music, setting up his first live sets, which finally led to the foundation of his first group: the electronic music band Raíz Electrónica (Electronic Roots). After that, and thanks to his self-taught practice, he managed to dominate his first production software, Reason, changing to Logic afterwards. Today, being his weapon of choice when creating beats. His love for machines is also well known, especially for Moog’s creations and MIDI controllers.

With his family support as mainstay, helping at the family’s business in the morning and focusing on the studio sessions during the afternoon, Miguel was able to dedicate himself to his great passion: the creation of tunes. Music production has been, without a question, what has taken Miguel Bastida where he is today. After years and years of being locked up in the studio, he managed to create his own, exclusive and uncompromised sound, whose turning point came in 2015, with the release of ‘Moudness’, a track that managed to stay up in the Top charts of platforms such as Beatport. Before that, he already managed to knock on the doors of heavyweights as Umek and his 1605 platform. Then Sébastien Leger’s Mistakes Music came, followed by Mark Knight’s Toolroom; Deeperfect; Trapez, elrow Music; Marc Marzenit’s Paradigma Music; Dubfire’s Sci-Tec; and most recently, Suara, demonstrating all the styles he dominates. Today his productions can be found in the selections of artists such as Richie Hawtin, Paco Osuna, Luciano, John Acquaviva or Leger, Dubfire or Umek themselves.

As DJ, Miguel Bastida belongs to the exclusive group of Spanish DJs that has had the chance of touring around the world, presenting his repertoire in almost every country in the planet, from Australia and New Zealand to electronic music strongholds as New York and Chicago. His name can also be found on the line-ups of the world’s best clubs and festivals, managing to convince even the most demanding dancefloors of the scene.

Self-taught and entrepreneur, Bastida’s projects ended up naturally in the creation of his own label, Be One Records, that he manages along two of his childhood friends. Bastida is in charge of the A&R, while his buddies in Berlin and Granada manage design and social networks duties. Recently they created a sub-label, dedicated to support and give a chance to young and upcoming talents of the electronic music scene.

Be it as groove creator, selector or supporter of new talents with his label, Miguel Bastida is a safe bet for any record label, festival or venue that seeks to tear up their dancefloors.
