Featuring the soaring vocals of Angela Johnson, Dave and HMD lay down some serious disco bassline energy complete with a super catchy chorus. For this 2021 release, Dave Has revisited the original production and crafted a seriously soulful version for 2021, focusing the groove onto the live bass guitar, soulful keys, and bubbling synth melodies this new version is a proper feel good sing-a-long anthem.

He has released on some of the worlds leading house music labels like Strictly Rhythm, Salted Music, OM Records and of course, our little class label, Bobbin Head Music. Not only is he one of the nicest blokes we know, he is incredibly talented. This 3 track release showcases his many artistic layers from Soulful summery infused house, to chopped up Nu Disco future grooves, through to classic deep rolling house.

With ‘Under Pressure [Remixes]’, Nightriders put the final exclamation point on their searing collaboration with dulcet-toned vocalist Lisa Shaw.  Since its initial release last fall, the sultry and hauntingly soulful track has become one of the Boston-based electronic dance duo’s most masterful and magnetic anthems echoing influences from similar moody and atmospheric, r&b-inflected electronic artists like SG Lewis, Darius, Zimmer and Kartell,  

The electrifying remix EP assembles two previously released mixes – Nightriders’ simmering  and meditative “Pressure Mix” and famed UK Disco House wunderkind Yam Who?’s crate-essential “Dub Mix” – alongside three fiery new re-rubs by Grammy-nominated producer Andy Caldwell, French House duo SUPERMUSIQUE and fellow Bostonian funksters GMGN & Dustin Rosata which highlight the song’s dynamic versatility. 

Andy Caldwell delivers a deep pulsing, thoughtful and sonically sublime mix radiating with his impeccable “soulful electro-funk-house” signature vibes while SUPERMUSiQUE transforms the laidback original into a mesmerizing, delicate and powerful, trap-meets-future house burner. The set closes with GMGN & Dustin Rosata’s dexterous mix that seamlessly melds bottom-heavy tribal beats, churning electro-funk, acid, sun-soaked Balearic house and soothing, toe-tapping grooves into a widescreen kaleidoscopic trip that’s equally energizing and narcotic.

Began DJing in 1999. DJed monthly at Lounge Affair at Baylees (as DJ Pariah) in Blacksburg Virginia and some East Coast touring. Into San Fran deep house, my sets then were lots of OM Records, Miguel Migs, and Naked Music Records. In 2003 everything was going digital and I stopped djing and started a psychology degree. Now back to producing deep house, house and downtempo, and DJing. DJ mixes to come Summer 2021! Hope to have 1200 tonearm fixed by then :-)
