If there is one thing that Satin Jackets can do, it’s making you feel good on the dance
floor. While the soulful, uplifting track “In This Life”already compels you to get get 
moving, Satin Jackets has managed to level up with this Cassara remix. Multi-
talented producer Chris Cassara had already proven what he is capable of with his 
previous remix of Satin Jackets’ “Never Enough.”
It’s well-known that Tim Bernhardt has mastered the recipe for elevating and soul-
stirring music, but having an extra chef in the kitchen can up the ante: Cassara knew
exactly how to add some extra spice to the second single released on Golden Hour. 
With a classic disco feeling and a pinch of “French Touch” on top, it conveys a 
certain courage - something that takes you to the next level on the dance floor. 
When Satin Jackets brings in the melody, Cassara knows how to raise the tempo 
without losing sight of its soulful vibe. The combination of a stomping bass, Nile-
Rodgers-like guitar licks and the right tempo, confirms that Cassara was the right 
choice stir in that special something to the already perfect sophomore single “In This 
Life”.

House Of Disco are back in full swing after a short hiatus, building on their pedigree that has brought the world music from the likes of Finnebassen, EJECA and Volta Cab over the past two years. With an increasingly busy global DJ schedule, their own parties in London and their own guest mix series bolstering their consistent online curation, they have amassed a sizable, fervent following.

House Of Jeudi makes for a seriously moreish listen, full to the brim of incredibly consistent and charismatic dancefloor delights - with each label picking six tracks. JEUDI’s selection takes us from the moody Reese basslines of Danito & Athina’s Harmony Baby, to Sean Roman’s contemplative I Find Myself and the spooky depths of Camelphat’s 360, while House Of Disco journey through the skippy funk of Roberto Rodriguez’s North Step, HNNY’s delicate Oma Doris, and the slinky disco of LeSale’s Fit Trucker.

Suited just as well to the home stereo as to the dancefloor, it’s an engrossing compilation that’s got plenty to offer for DJs and casual listeners alike, and looks set to cement both labels incredibly solid reps even further.

I focused on the writing and how things felt, working with some new singers, which is always cool because I love the collaboration and writing process. At the start of this year I felt pretty good about the songs, they felt cohesive. But I still hadn’t thought much about how to release them. I literally just sent a couple of clips to Simon [Dunmore] and he dug the idea of releasing an album. Began DJing in 1999. DJed monthly at Lounge Affair at Baylees (as DJ Pariah) in Blacksburg Virginia and some East Coast touring. Into San Fran deep house, my sets then were lots of OM Records, Miguel Migs, and Naked Music Records. In 2003 everything was going digital and I stopped djing and started a psychology degree. Now back to producing deep house, house and downtempo, and DJing. DJ mixes to come Summer 2021! Hope to have 1200 tonearm fixed by then :-)
