Last Friday 26th of August I had the big pleasure to play at one of my favorites and renowned underground clubs from our beloved city, Barcelona. 

A real dream came true, close to lots of friends and with a previous event at Bridge 48 all together with the "We funked it up" and "Time Lapse" families, and curated by Mags Trimarchi, Ivo Mele, Andreu, Uzo, Alvaro Camacho and Mar.C. 

It was such a great feeling to play a techno warm up set, opening the night for big friends and mentors from the music industry like Belmont and Lega aka No Intellectual Property with an epic closing of  Andromeda. Getting my friends in the trancey mood for my birthday was unique.

BIO
Hubert Słota comes from Poland. He mostly plays downtempo/indie/melodic/house. Although he has been with music from an early age (thanks to which he got to know many musical genres well), he played for the first time in public in 2021. Despite the short time, he has already played in places important for the Polish club scene (Projekt LAB, Wyspa Tamka). He also played at one of the biggest Polish festivals (LAS Festival). He also co-creates a small and local festival Klimatycznie Deepowo. During his sets, he takes the listener on a musical journey, full of unique sounds and vibrations, wanting to create a symbiosis with the dancefloor.

Really pleased to release the live recording from my set at Coda, Toronto. It is an absolute gift having 3 hours to take people on a journey in this room, on this sound system, with such a receptive crowd. Thank you to the Coda team for all that you do, for making this such a landmark venue in Toronto. 

That night, I was particularly excited to play 'Devil on the Dance Floor', one of my latest unreleased tracks, and some other unreleased gems including one by the legend Glenn Morrison remixed by James Harcourt.

UGENIUS Radio #040 With The Journey

Mylet.aka.Mihail discovered his passion for djying and dance music through the dutch and german trance from the 2000 and lately techno.

Born in Romania, he is influenced by the breakbeat sound, and discovered house music after moving to Valencia, Spain at an early age.

Being based in Barcelona from some years ago; his eclectic sound goes through 2 different movements. His sets as "Mylet" are based on house, disco, funk, jazzy and minimal music, being the promoter and founder of the brand "We Funked it up".

Although Mylet.aka.Mihail comes up with an underground side based on a techno, driving, and progressive sound as "Mihail". During the past years, he promoted the techno events series Time-Lapse at Formato Club in Valencia. 

During this and the past years, he performed with his both musical sides at clubs like Formato Club (Valencia) and festivals like Naked Festival, Bridge 48 Festival, or Noire, from Belgium. 

As well as clubs or venues like Salvatge Coffee, Slow Club, M7 Club, Bestial Club, Otto Zutz, Macarena Club, Pachá Bcn, and he is a resident at Mint Bar from Barcelona with his brand "WE FUNKED IT UP". 

The combination of warmhearted melodies, trippy beats and immersive basslines are a must in his performances. His first track as a techno producer has been released on the Romanian label, Teoria Perfekta.
