Etching a musical partnership that draws from the combined roots of IDM, house and techno, 
Mind Against are the Italian native but Berlin based project of Alessandro and Federico Fognini.

The biggest cliché of a “sound that’s hard to pin down”, is realer than gravity when it comes to Mind Against. They coax on psychedelic hooks of the 1980s and dance floor anthems bound traditionally to european soil. This backdrop makes for releases and performances that do well against any canvas.

Exclusive WhoMadeWho 'I Don't Know (Stereocalypse Remix)'

Set off by a simple and consistent bassline, a tangible drum beat, we are lured into the 7:51 track with a steady grate of percussion followed by a gradual interpolation of electronic application. Complex strata of organic and synthetic sounds emerge fluidly and ascend into a harmonious climax, which with the brief omission of the dominant drum beat, preludes into the first vocal at exactly one minute. A beautiful interchange between instrumental and vocal and Stereocalypse’s dextrous play of diminishing and aggrandizing elements to draw on and draw out the emotions of the original track, are the vim and vigor of this remix. Through a firm and innovative control of tempo and complexity, the remix accentuates the turbulent emotional implications of the track’s lyrics, making it more poignant. WhoMadeWho’s provocative music videos are the icing on the cake to their music, adding the third dimension to their exceptional lyrics and sound. In their remix of I Don’t Know, Stereocalypse’s adds the right elements that bring listeners as close to an audio-visual experience as possible. Hence, there is no wonder that what WhoMadeWho bandmember Tomas Barfod identified as 'a very mellow remix', continues to infiltrate dance floors. Barfod, co-producer of the track had already said it best: 'It somehow turns out to be quite euphoric when played in the club.'

Stereocalypse's remix for WhoMadeWho was released on September 1st, 2017 on Embassy Of Music.

Berliners Budakid and Jonas Saalbach first played their euphoric “Nautique” collaboration at the komm schon Alter festival last summer, and it caught Eelke Kleijn’s ear who signed it to his DAYS Like NIGHTS imprint. A rather large remix of the track is reportedly in the works as well.  

“Nautique” is released tomorrow, February 22nd.

We've assembled an all-star crew of artists to remix an incredible original by Active Child. Everyone truly brought their A-game, and the results speak for themselves. Many timeless dance floor moments are sure to come from this release. 

MDK is a new project by someone responsible for some of the most iconic tracks in the past 10 years. The man behind it is none other than Matthew Dekay. Joining him is another legend, known for his emotional and unique approach, someone taking a no-compromise approach to production and sound quality, a man that needs no introduction – Stimming.

As chance would have it, a couple more of our dear friends wanted to join this project, upon hearing about it, quickly turning it into a mini-album. Dave DK's Pacific Ride is a melodic journey, while his stripped down Topanga Dub goes into darker territory. This one will be right at home in the desert or a warehouse, just the way we like it. Pablo Bolivar rounds things out with a serious four to the floor jam, alongside a nostalgic ambient version that serves as a perfect closer to this remix EP.

Mind Against at Awakenings X Afterlife (ADE 2019)

2020 is wrapping up and (finally) coming to an awaited end.
From everything that happened during this period of time, it's safe to say this horrible virus has ruined A LOT of things for all of us involved within the music sector and many other industries.
I decided to record a mix that typically resembles the melancholic and gloomy sides of what I'd normally play, but at the same time including some dance floor "classics" and weapons in order to keep alive the club spirit that the majority of us somehow lost a little bit.
From melodica pads to heavy and merciless Techno followed along by hypnotic vocals and aggressive percussions, I sincerely hope I can bring some good distraction to your day and make you dance like no one is watching you.
Let's wait for another better, greater and more hopeful 2021.
