Closing out the month of March, Astral Records unveils the fourth installment of their 'Celestial' series. Continuing their highly stylized brand of melodic house and techno, the label continues to push the boundaries of this burgeoning genre, while never losing sight of the cosmic qualities that has made the sound so appealing to many. With an emphasis on melody and emotion, Astral Records continues the success of 2024's 'Celestial IV', a collection which also celebrated the label's three year anniversary, with the much anticipated fourth edition, featuring (in order of appearance) Maywell, Redot, U.NID, Wailey, Paul Anthonee and Acrobatik & Fernandez.


The collection's first selection is provided by Maywell who makes his label debut. Hailing from Mexico, Maywell has risen out of his country's melodic house and techno underground as a talent to watch. Releases via deep dip, Freegrant Music and Settlement have forecasted a powerful club-effective sound currently on rotation with the genre's tastemakers. Now, getting 2025 off to a promising start, Maywell makes his Astral debut with the edgy peak time offering ‘Genos'.


For selection two we travel to Israel and welcome Redot to the label for their first appearance. Kfir Lankry and Elior Sabbah make up the Redot production team and arrive on the strength of releases via Area Verde and ERRORR. Known for their innovative soundscapes and pulsating rhythms, the Israeli duo have created their own unique sonic aesthetic, one that blends cutting-edge technology with deeply emotional melodies and aggressive sound design, creating tracks that resonate both on the dance floor and in the hearts of their listeners. Now continuing on an upwards trajectory as 2025 approaches its second quarter, Redot makes their Astral Records debut with retro acid-inspired sounds of ‘SOS'.

A Bonafide ICONYC future classic, Solique's "Ordinary Things" is a true staple of refined sophistication. Led by an instantly recognizable vocal, the austro-swedish project's tantalizing piece has enthralled dancefloors and festivals worldwide for months, and now, we're excited to give it the remix treatment as it goes under the surgical vision of Prague-based maestro Spada, Dutch alchemist Volar, and Irish provocateur Olive Hatake, plus an exclusive "Piano Version" by famed Italian concert pianist Luigi R. Gargano. 

On our first remix, Spada steps up to the plate with a gorgeous percussive foundation that sets a most flavorful mood before meandering flanger squelches uncover a warm bassline that gently invites us deeper inside this lush take on "Ordinary Things". Smoldering yet restrained, Spada's velvet-laced reinterpretation suddenly reveals a tantalizing break in the clouds as every element converges into the void, exploding in a splendid genesis of a third act where icy arpeggios intertwine, traversing endlessly across the piece in an unrepeatable sliver of bliss.

The second version of "Ordinary Things" comes courtesy of Volar, who devises a throbbing low-end pulse that runs amok through the grit. As mangled vocals lend a gloomy and mysterious feel to this reinterpretation, the Dutch producer reveals a tantalizing lead that slithers across the piece, drawing hypnotic figures in mid-air while leading to a showstopping core where everything dissolves into the ether before resuming its unstoppable midnight march.

Our final remix in this comprehensive package is a most unique take and showcases Olive Hatake's unmistakable sonic signature as the Irish artist reconfigures "Ordinary Things" into a full-blown technicolor skitterish hybrid. Driving Solique's dazzling original into new territory, Olive pushes the tempo and unleashes a myriad of cascading arpeggios that interlock with swelling synths and an earth-quaking bassline for a wild ride across Rainbow Road.

Wrapping up this gemstone of a remix package, Luigi R. Gargano makes a sensational debut on ICONYC with a much-cherished "Piano Version". Intimate as ever, this breathtaking delivery finds the famed Italian pianist lowering his defenses as he strips "Ordinary Things" to its naked core, allowing for its story to be told by a rummaging piano that walks across the halls of yesterday in search for answers it might never come to find.

Alexey Union & Kinkysound are next up on the Symbiosis label with three new cuts while Yost Koen remixes.

These artists have often worked together before on labels like Jeahmon! Records and always blend funk, groove and soul perfectly.

Bang kicks off with a percolating and dark groove that's infused with mysterious late night melodies and a sense of tension that never lets up. Pwani feat. Idd Aziz has an Afro feel to the drums and spine tingling chords that when arrive in unison with the spiritual vocals take you to a higher emotional plane.

Tribe feat. Tabia then keeps the celestial energy with more bright chords and a vocal that delivers piercing emption. Bang (Yost Koen Rework) closes down with a more urgent rhythm but still plenty of lush chord work and sparkling percussion.

All four of these tracks combine escapist melody with hypnotic drums for big impact on both heart and heel.

Chris Cargo lands on JourneyDeep Records for their 100th release.

Irish long serving DJ and producer Chris Cargo, is a veteran of the underground scene, he started his production career in the late 90s, and has been at the forefront within the electronic music scene ever since. His music has graced Renaissance, Automatic Records, Whoop, Armada Music, Configurations Of Self and onedotsixtwo, amongst many more.

He delivers two originals here, booth oozing of confidence and quality, as you'd expect. Starting with Dawntreader, a hypnotic and deep workout, with subtle warmth looming, over its trippy soundsacpe, full of drive and dramatic flavours.

Next up its 'Distant Mellow, and as the title suggests, an understated sophistication locks you in to its spell, as the blippy melodic patterns merge and melt wonderfully, with a chunky and hazy wash of goodness.

Hailing from the eastern town of Câmpia Turzii, Romania, Mihail has evolved from a passionate listener of early 2000s Dutch and German trance into a dynamic DJ and producer, embodying the spirit of house music with a deep, underground twist. 

Relocating to Valencia at a young age ignited his love for electronic music, leading him to explore the vibrant landscapes of house, disco, funk, and minimal sounds.
Now based in Barcelona, Mihail’s artistry flourishes under his brand, “FULL FEEL,” where he artfully merges energetic sets with nostalgic melodies. 

As a resident DJ at Mint in Barcelona, and a frequent collaborator with venues like Puerto Bahía and Bridge48 in Barcelona, Mihail has graced numerous stages across Barcelona and Valencia. His standout performances at festivals like Bridge Festival, or Naked Festival, and clubs such as Pachá Barcelona, Macarena Club, Otto Zutz and Bestial Club but also his shows outside Spain at Noire in Belgium or Kiki in Türkiye, with the goal of leading by example in the music industry. Being graduated in Music Business Industry at Pompeu Fabra University, as a promoter, he has established local reputation, organizing events that attract 80 to 300 attendees, ensuring a unique experience for every guest in Barcelona and Valencia.

Mihail's contributions to the music scene have not gone unnoticed; he was honored for his exceptional role in event brand building and management at Bridge Festival, where he orchestrated the production and coordination of the festival’s most prominent stage with “We Funked It Up”.
His recent sets reflect a signature technique that blends warm melodies, trippy beats, and immersive basslines, capturing the audience’s energy and transporting them through a sonic journey. Influenced by contemporary artists like Joris Voorns, Yotto or Pryda, Mihail redefines the electronic DJ set, seamlessly intertwining house, techno, and trance to create a vibrant dance atmosphere laced with nostalgia.
Mihail’s debut techno track called Tetrahedron, released on Romania’s Teoria Perfekta label, marks the beginning of his production journey, a testament to his deep connection with the crowd and the music.

In Mihail's words:
"For me, it’s all about giving back to the music and the crowd what I receive from it; a musical connection between two realms: my inner self and the audience. The crowd inspires me, and the musical feeling guides my journey."
