Mago - Laconic

This is an IDM-influenced track, composed last year but only recently completed. 
It's the result of quite extensive sound research, using drum machine sounds synthesised from scratch, either with software synths or processors made through Max/MSP, as well as some glitch sounds, and the use of granular synthesis, heavy modulated distortion, with the intention of fusing a more psychedelic and soft IDM with modern and elaborated sounds.

This atmospheric, floating ambient track is built around a melodic synth arpeggio which creates a sense of intriguing curiosity. It is accompanied by sensual female vocals and warm orchestral strings. A second arpeggio creates a playful rhythmic bed,   while flutes and bells add harmonic depth and a dreamy touch to it. The track conveys an atmospheric sense of technology, science or scienc-fiction and is well suited for films, documentaries or video games.
