INTOXTC is the first EP under Ash Luk's post Minimal Violence alias,
Infinity Division.

Like a phoenix rising, he continues his ascent through a
melodic dystopia simultaneously channeling nostalgia and
violence.

No stranger to Never Sleep after our //ZOO release and
playing live shows for the club night for many years.

'Visions' has ID howling over eerie pop lubed melodies, jungle breaks
which all come together to form a new age in crossover music.

Sounding like nobody else and completely blows the doors off the
"Hyperpop" stigma associated with this kind of bravery.

'Thirteen' shows the club some trance fever dreams whilst 'Something
Dreamy' breaks the whole fourth wall in its unashamed hands in the air
arrangement and palette.

Leading the charge is 'T-INT' - a HUGE orchestral noise rhythmic work
out and shows the sheer volume that this producer can materialise.

Leftfield break up a mosh pit in NYC's CBGB and find Ian Curtis still
dancing.

Pulses and Resonances is Rene Lorenzo’s debut album on Subtempo. This album represents a culmination of more than 20 years of electronic music exposure as a DJ and a clear point of view. We can hear influences of broken beat, techno, drum & bass, all through the unique lens that Rene brings to the table, deeply steeped in ambient, deep techno and downtempo. Even though this isn’t a dance record, it’s filled with energy and drive. It is an out-of-the-ordinary album, with intricate shifts and turns with well-crafted kick drums, round bass lines and enveloping subs. A record filled with warm sounds, head-nodding rhythms, and rich textured spaces. It’s all woven into an easy-listening experience, without demanding the listener’s full attention, but creating a landscape that is unique and varied throughout. We can hear references to artists like Boards of Canada, Jan Jenilek, Synkro and the like.

“In this record, every track has a different pulse or rhythm, and I use different resonators in the sound design process to achieve these tones. I started by leaving the space open with the ambient pads and hardly any rhythm, and I’d let myself be carried away by my sense of rhythm slowly building the compositions. I am obsessive with audio processing and I almost never leave a sound in its initial form. I like to add some subtle effect that sounds like something different and give new sounds to the elements I use.” – Rene Lorenzo

For 宀’s second release, the Hong Kong label debuts local DJ/Producer, Xiaolin, with her first EP. Echoing a third culture upbringing, the EP spirals down Xiaolin’s journey of internal-discovery. She layers together a plethora of nostalgic influences from retro video games, Lunar New Year and mountain trails. Formally a classically-trained violinist, Xiaolin has bloomed in the electronic music scene with her rich technical toolkit and meticulous sound design.

The punchy four track EP, MIHN002, lifts off with a 140BPM electro/breakbeat track, LANTERNS. Made with mostly analogue gear, the driving baseline persist down a continues tunnel while soaring melodies and romantic chords fly overhead. To wind down the release there’s an ambient mix of LANTERNS, diving into Xiaolin’s intimate side with personal recordings of nature; a fire crackling in the distance and a gentle waterfall.

Xiaolin’s sensitivity draws a bold line through the EP while giving each track the depth and precision to stand alone. LION DANCE bounces into dance floor euphoria with dynamic acid lines and stabs of festive percussion. While, GHOSTRIDER is a speedy race through cosmic space; ethereal pads of ecstasy cut through the great beyond with hopeful notes of adventure.

宀 (pronounced "mihn" is the Chinese Radical 40 with a different pronunciation according countries. It has no literal meaning but can be likened to a roof or shelter. This is a place where you can express yourself freely. This place is for dancing. This is a place to learn. This is safe space where you will not be harassed, discriminated, criticised or harmed emotionally or physically. This is a place where all Races, Genders and Sexual identities are welcome. To safeguard this vision, there will be a no-photo policy applied inside the club.

宀 has been imagined by a group of music and audiophile enthusiasts who have chosen a Funktion One soundsystem in a room carefully engineered by one of the region's leading experts in acoustics.

「宀」是一個位於香港中心地帶的全新音樂場地，宗旨在於希望能夠透過精心挑選的電子音樂以及其他文化藝術活動，將人們聚集起來。這個能夠容納100人左右的場地，不只將帶來國際型的表演者，也將會成為亞太區、本地菁英的培育地。

「宀」這個中文字的部首在不同國家有不同的發音，在字形上像是一個屋頂、一個藏身處。這是一個你/妳可以自在表現自己的地方。這是一個你/妳可以盡情跳舞的地方。這是一個你/妳可以找尋人生的地方。這是一個歡迎所有種族、性別、性傾向認同的地方。為了保護這樣的宗旨，在這裡禁止所有拍照攝影的行為。
