Chicago born and bred DJ, Producer Joseph Manumaleuna aka DJ Hyperactive needs little introduction to those versed in the history of techno.  As one of Daft Punk’s “Teachers” and “brother of the humble” according to Resident Adviser, his contributions to the underground continue to span generations.  Honing his skills in the highly influential scene and sound of Chicago in the early 90s, DJ Hyperactive gained instant international recognition and has since gone on to play the most legendary and lauded events and venues over the last 20 years, such as Orbit/ Leeds, Liquid Room/ Tokyo, Love Parade/ Berlin, Shelter, Smart Bar, Primary/ Chicago, Interface/ Los Angeles, Movement/ Detroit, Output/ Brooklyn, Tresor/ Berlin, Berghain/ Berlin and the list doesn’t stop there.  Also over the course of his career, he has produced over 100 remixes and original tracks, including classics such as ‘Venus’ & ‘Wide Open’ - Missile, ‘25HRs’ - Droid Recordings, “Music Box’ on his own imprint 4 Track Recordings, ‘Chicago’ - Contact, Truncate, Figure, Blank Code, Impact Mechanics, Nachstrom Schallplatten, CLR, to name a few.  DJ Hyperactivereturned to Chicago 2013 to reconnect with his family and musical roots.  His story continues with more gigs and more studio productions, with the difference being the experience and perspective that only a true veteran can possess.

Analogue warmth meets raw energy: This furious mixture made Andre Kronert a synonym for powerful and high-octane club sound, as a DJ as well as a producer. Since 1994 the head honcho of Odd/Even, Knowone, 3rd Wave Music and Neurotron Music has set on fire countless parties and festivals, proving himself to be a major reason for escalating atmospheres and bursting dance floors from Dubai to Georgia.

In his productions Andre Kronert performs a mesmerizing balancing act between two worlds. On the one side, there is the raw energy and explosive power of his ecstatic, repetitive rhythms. On the other side his style is characterized by subtle build-ups, filigree sound textures and the warmth of analogue synthesis. For a good reason, since Andre Kronert has been an avid vinyl lover since he started DJing 15 years ago. During his live performances he exclusively relies on his beloved music machinery which includes no laptop. However, he does not regard himself to be a moralizer for the analogue movement: In the end, it’s all about fun!

His thirst for new enterprises frequently reaches hyperactive dimensions and is the driving force behind his labels Odd/Even, 3rd Wave Music or Neurotron Music and the mysterious Knowone. So there’s a very good change that we’ll hear even more from Andre Kronert in the near future!

Oliver Bondzio y Ramon Zenker forman una de las parejas ácidas más respetadas de toda Europa. Estos dos alemanes llevan produciendo desde 1991 formando parte de una hornada de Dj's y productores interesados en esas líneas de bajo tan características del acid house -enamorados de la 303 y de la 909 como Sven Vath, Pete Namlook, David Moufang o DJ Criss- que se empezaba a esparcir por todo el mundo via E.E.UU. Acperience fue su primer track: 11 minutos de composición estandard construidos a partir de melodías que se manejaban en la línea de sellos como Harthouse o el sello inglés Eye Q (uno de los sellos británicos que más interesados se han mostrado en promocionar el sonido acid). A medida que iban sacando 12" en este último sello fueron sofisticando su sonido con elementos de hip-hop, electro, breakbeat o techno lo que les supuso un gran prestigio entre amantes del techno como genérico. A partir de ahí les llovieron las ofertas para hacer remixes, algunos todavía pinchados por algunos Dj's como su versión del Yeke Yeke de Mory Kanté que alguna vez ha utilizado, por ejemplo, el Dj catalán Jaumëtic para cerrar sus sesiones. Armados con un poderoso directo que les llevó a la edición de 2003 del festival de Monegros han conseguido firmar giras en la mayor parte de continentes. 4 out of 5 aliens recommend this! (2005, Hardfloor) y The life we choose (2007, Hardfloor) son sus dos últimos álbumes hasta la fecha, aunque también cabe destacar su serie Versus Series en la que varios productores le dan la réplica a los alemanes. En la segunda entrega los barceloneses Andres/Andreas aportaron su tema 707.

TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ ALAN OLDHAM

Detroit-born, Berlin-based Alan D. Oldham has been called "Detroit Techno's Renaissance Man" by Muzik Magazine ( UK ). Electronic musician, label owner, remixer, graphic illustrator, and international DJ, Oldham-under his stage name DJ T-1000-does it all. 
A lifelong cartoonist and graphic designer, a young Oldham published his own indie comic book "Johnny Gambit" in 1987 to local notoriety. Hired that same year by his childhood friend Derrick May to illustrate several memorable pieces for his new Transmat label, this led to Oldham's very first involvement in the fledgling Detroit Techno scene. More art requests quickly followed, most famously from the Djax-Up-Beats label ( NL ), where his art took center stage for many years (the lone EP that Oldham produced for Djax, under the name Signal To Noise Ratio, brought home a 1991 Detroit Metro Times Music Award for best single in "Detroit Is Burning").
As a DJ, he has played clubs and festivals all over the world, as far afield as Shanghai, China. 
As a producer, he has released on Tresor ( DE ), BPitch Control ( DE ), Third Ear Recordings ( UK ), Elypsia Records (  BE ), Finale Sessions ( USA ), Astralwerks ( USA ), and my own labels Generator and Pure Sonik Records, among others.

MOTTO Podcast is a podcast series by Miia Magia. The podcast is linked to the label @mottosono that I run together with Mr. Barth in Helsinki. 

On the first hour you will hear carefully picked tracks by me mainly from the Scandinavian artists and labels. The eclectic selection includes new music from fresh and already established producers starting with bubbly house and continuing towards moody techno. Keep your ears open also for the latest Motto Sono release by one of Sweden's best kept deep house secrets, Klippans House.

On the second hour it's time for a guest mix from one of my favourite Helsinki based djs, @jussieskelinen. Jussi is best known for founding Homotekno, the early 2010's queer underground party, which made a brief reappearance as a club night a few years ago. Jussi’s DJ sets usually consist of hypnotic techno and house grooves. This vinyl mix for Motto podcast showcases his love for deep, dubby after hours tracks by his favourite artists from Scandinavia.

Starting with her pure love for music, collecting records and clubbing lead Miia Magia to become one of the pioneering female figures in the Finnish club scene. Her musical journey took her through 90's UK alternative rock and 00's Nu Disco & House, finally arriving in today's classic Deep House and Techno.

DJ'ing all over Finland, organizing parties and working residencies at legendary Helsinki clubs such as Semifinal, mbar and DTM also made her a strong character in the LGBTQ+ scene, leading the Helsinki Pride parade for several years in a row. Invitations kept coming to Estonia, Spain and Sweden to play alongsides some of her favourite artists like Axel Boman, Cari Lekebusch, DJ Hell, Sister Bliss, Proteus, Orion and Roberto Rodriguez. Miia best describes her own style of playing as "deep and moody, sharp and groovy".

Living and breathing the Stockholm underground club and rave scene between 2015-2019 refined her skills as a DJ and ignited the start of her own label with Mr. Barth (aka. Cari Lekebusch). Motto Sono Records is now actively and comprehensively representing art and deep emotional grooves for the demanding DJ and audience with the motto "the only good system is a sound system”.
