MOTTO Podcast is a podcast series by me, Miia Magia. After running the podcast for 3 years I'm happy to welcome all the new listeners through Lithuanian based electronic music radio @Play4n4! This was my first show to be broadcasted, nice to meet you all, I'm excited to be part of your community!

In the next hour you will hear carefully picked tracks by me mainly from the Scandinavian artists and labels. In the future I will also add music from the rest of the Baltic scene, that I'm extremely interested to dig deeper into. The eclectic selection includes new music from fresh and already established producers starting with atmospheric dub, continuing to bubbly house and finishing with techno.

Dutch DJ and producer, Reggy Van Oers is an artist who absolutely nails one side of the On the 5th Day sound. His phenomenal productions unswervingly engulf you in a heady, powerful state of intoxication, combining pulsating, rumbling grooves centred around a characteristic pounding kick, often alongside droning, cinematic soundscapes. We’ve been lucky enough to hear his tracks grace London's Corsica Studios sound system on countless occasions, featuring in both On the 5th Day resident and guest sets, each and every time stirring up an electric reaction in the crowd. Our next event this coming Saturday is a rare opportunity to catch Reggy extending his musical skills to the decks, when he'll be joining The Gods Planet and Korridor on one of the best deep techno line-ups going... we’re genuinely stoked to be welcoming him to Corsica. MOTTO Podcast is a podcast series by me, Miia Magia. The podcast is linked to the label Motto Sono that I'm running together with Mr. Barth. All the tracks are handpicked in Helsinki mainly from Scandinavian artists and labels with their upcoming, fresh & already classic house and techno releases. The first hour is selected by me including tracks from the latest Motto Sono release, a deep and dark collaboration made by A.D. with his friends Kenny Glasgow, Marcelo Rosselot, Sergio Dimoff and Zee aka  Zahir.  I'm also premiering 3 tracks from the forth coming groovy Motto Sono release ”Portfolio” by Valdo Törnstrand.

On the second hour it's time for a guest mix from  https://soundcloud.com/alexidelano 's deeper alter ego A.D. that he first started using as ADNY which is a spinn off from DKNY. After spending the last 20+ years touring around the globe he has now made us a special mix he calls ”ADs Welcome To My Slowdown 2020”. All the tracks on the mix are slowed down to mimic the afterparties Alexi was hosting in his studio after several Brooklyn weekend parties. Raised in the heart of Europe, Empasym’s taste in electronic music has been shaped and inspired by a variety of scenes and sounds across the continent and beyond. Having lived in London, Brussels, Hamburg, and Hong Kong in the space of only 4 years, his musical project has served as a way to remain grounded in the face of change, providing a soundtrack to his introspection since starting off as a DJ some two years ago.

Taking inspiration from the Temple aesthetic, his Prayer podcast takes you through the darker side of his characteristically lighter sound. Starting with her pure love for music, collecting records and clubbing lead Miia Magia to become one of the pioneering female figures in the Finnish club scene. Her musical journey took her through 90's UK alternative rock and 00's Nu Disco & House, finally arriving in today's classic Deep House and Techno.

DJ'ing all over Finland, organizing parties and working residencies at legendary Helsinki clubs such as Semifinal, mbar and DTM also made her a strong character in the LGBTQ+ scene, leading the Helsinki Pride parade for several years in a row. Invitations kept coming to Estonia, Spain and Sweden to play alongsides some of her favourite artists like Axel Boman, Cari Lekebusch, DJ Hell, Sister Bliss, Proteus, Orion and Roberto Rodriguez. Miia best describes her own style of playing as "deep and moody, sharp and groovy".

Living and breathing the Stockholm underground club and rave scene between 2015-2019 refined her skills as a DJ and ignited the start of her own label with Mr. Barth (aka. Cari Lekebusch). Motto Sono Records is now actively and comprehensively representing art and deep emotional grooves for the demanding DJ and audience with the motto "the only good system is a sound system”.
