This week we have Northern Beaches/one of MIIDWK’s very own’ Hunter Barry serving up some deep minimal grooves. 

After a year following Europe’s best artists and main inspiration ‘Politics of Dancing’, Hunter has developed a unique style of driving minimal and splashes of acid. 

The mix draws inspiration from labels such as PIV, NoArt and S.A.S.H.

004 MIIDWK MIIX - HUNTER BARRY

With eager ears we warmly welcome, Sam Saigal. This mix is not one you want to miss. Saigal draws inspiration from the likes of Guy J and Andrey Pushkarev, developing an eclectic style of dreamy pads and atmospheric taste. 

He may look familiar - Dj’ing at Oxford underground, club 77 and roundhouse to name a few. We hope this mix brings you as much satisfaction as it did for us. 

Keep a keen eye out for the name, Sam Saigal! Tracks and events are just on his horizon.

006 MIIDWK MIIX - SAM SAIGAL

Please welcome Oscar to the MIIDWK MIIX series. Oscar is an emerging artist in the underground scene, with notable sets at Club 77 and some unreal talent in production. 

His main inspiration is UK minimal and garage, with love for artists such as @lauren Lo sung, Charlie banks, m high and Rossi. 

He has some exciting announcements on the horizon, with the launch of a yet to be named collective; locked in for a party at Club 77 on the 27th of Jan.

007 MIIDWK MIIX - OSCAR FERRER

Every week is a huge mix, but this week is particularly special. The long awaited drop of Miidwk co-founder @jkab. 

Jake spent his lockdown wisely, grinding in the studio and developing a unique sound of boomy rolling beats with sample driven grooves. He draws inspiration from the UK minimal scene with his favourite artists AJ Christou, Mason Collective, and Jamie Jones.

009 MIIDWK MIIX -  Jkab's Pool Session

Please give a warm, Miidwk welcome to Jay Nelson, an emerging talent from Syd’s inner west. 

This mix showcases Jay’s love for minimal and melodic house ~ with features from Prunk, Cassette for Kids, and Dan Shake. 

He completes Densison Collective, a trio of artists shedding light on local talent, curating tunes, and hosting parties.

Introducing X&Ys second season of guest mixes is Sasha Milani.  It's Sasha Milani's third year on the Sydney scene. With a focus on fun dynamic sets, Sasha's sound is a changing range from ravey house to energetic minimal. She's also the co-founder of al dente music, and is a regular at events run by S.A.S.H, Good Behaviour, Let's Go Dancing and Lost Sundays.
