Meine Aufnahme vom 3000 Grad Tourstop im Berliner Klunkerkranich.

Nach reichlichen Hin- und Her überlegen habe ich mich doch dazu entschieden, die Aufnahme zu veröffentlichen. Obwohl einige Tracks drine sind, die ich schon oft gespielt habe, ist der gesamte Vibe in den 3 1/2 Stunden einfach nur großartig - finde ich zumindest ;)

“Tenalach - The relationship with the land, the sky, the water and the deep connection that allows you to hear the earth sing and be one with nature”

Following on from their many mutual remixes and first collaborative EP “Pleamar” (Wonderwheel Recordings 2020) Chancha Via Circuito y El Búho return with a new EP “Tenalach" which sees the duo enter new territories and soundscapes. This mysterious, atmospheric and melancholic EP is like the soundtrack to a videogame that takes place in a strange and wonderful parallel universe. Imagine Zelda set in the jungles and mountains of Latin America.

Croaking frogs sit next to driving snares on the genre-defying Sapo Cururú, birds float above strobing synths on Oropéndola while Sumay’s epic synth lines melt into Chancha’s trademark percussions on Sumay. Opener El Samurai is perhaps the closest to the pair’s well-known folktronic sound, marrying cowbells with bowing violins and its animal-esque synth line.

While the BPM may have risen, this is neither ‘downtempo’ nor ‘umtempo’ and an EP that cannot easily be pigeon-holed - it is fresh and original. It also reflects a darker side to the pair’s music, a sub-conscious reflection of a changing world, holding in each song a constant tension and the desire to escape to new realities where the connection between humans and nature is blurred and equal.

It's taken us a little while to fully process what happened on Sunday but now we've had the time to recover from the madness that is Fusion Festival (you too, we hope??) we're realising just how much this gig meant to us and how happy we are with how it all went. Thank you to everyone who was there, who waited the extra 40 minutes while we battled with some technical difficulties, who cheered, sang our lyrics (wait, what?!) and danced with us. You were so supportive and after the first couple of songs the nervousness was almost gone and we could just enjoy sharing what we love together with you all. THANK YOU! You peeps are just great. <3

So, without further ado, here's our live set on the Velvet Soup stage at Fusion on Sunday night. Unfortunately the quality of the recording isn't great (where's the bass?!?), and we actually had to re-record a couple of parts at home due to an issue with the accordion microphone picking up the sound coming from the speakers, but we tried our best to play it exactly like we did on the night and blend it in smoothly with the original recording.  We are proud and happy and we hope you like it! 

So all the best to you all, and hopefully see you very soon :)

“Al Contemplar” is a new collaboration between @mosemusica and Chilean multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and producer @gallardomusica. This song delves into the deep wisdom that can be found in the rhythms of life and the universe. It serves as a reminder to pause, listen, and reflect on the signs we receive on our journey, teaching us that every step brings guidance, not necessarily to where we want to be, but to where we need to be. The track blends Rodrigo’s masterful quena flute and charango playing with his poetic vocal delivery and Mose’s signature hypnotic production, creating a sonic landscape that invites listeners to journey inward and connect with the flow of life.

The lyrics poetically capture the cycles of existence, highlighting the power of patience and the lessons we find in both the light and the shadows. “Al Contemplar” es una nueva colaboración entre Mose y el multiinstrumentista, vocalista y productor chileno Rodrigo Gallardo. La canción explora la profunda sabiduría que se encuentra en los ritmos de la vida y el universo. Es un recordatorio para detenerse, escuchar y reflexionar sobre las señales que recibimos en nuestro camino, enseñándonos que cada paso trae una guía, no necesariamente hacia donde queremos estar, sino hacia donde debemos estar. La pista combina la maestría de Rodrigo en la flauta quena y el charango, junto con su entrega vocal poética y la producción hipnótica característica de Mose, creando un paisaje sonoro que invita a los oyentes a viajar hacia adentro y conectarse con el flujo de la vida.

✔️ Was sind deine musikalischen Einflüsse?
 Ich liebe Downtempo und schätze die Produktionen der letzten 5-10 Jahre sehr. Ich bin Berlinerin war früher noch in der Bar 25 und liebe das GG immer noch :) Ich höre sehr gern melancholischen und treibenden Downtempo, finde aber auch Künstlerinnen wie Judith Ahrends oder Ameli Paul toll. Ich mag Vocals und Break Beats. Ich finde Live Acts mega und schätze vor allem DJs die auch produzieren 😉 Musikalische Einflüsse kommen auch von Labels wie Moodfamily. Labels / Kollektive die ich mag: Lucid, Easy Tiger, Moodfamily, Beyond, Amselcom, Leveldva, Down, etc. 
Meine Sets haben immer ein oder zwei Tracks mit Vocals z.B. von Omeria, K2WO, AFAR etc. Die besten Live Sets waren für mich dieses Jahr von Shimon, Sarraab und Antaares. 


✔️ Welche Gedanken mögt ihr uns mit auf den Weg geben?
Ich möchte mit meinem Set eine warme und energetische Stimmung erzeugen, die jeden egal ob allein, zu zweit oder mit den besten Friends nach einer langen Party musikalisch umarmt und ein positives Mindset erzeugt. Mein Set beginnt klassisch langsam 108 baut sich dann im Tempo etwas auf 110 und Endet mit der Einladung vielleicht doch nochmal um die Häuser zu ziehen 🙂
