Mesosphere (from the Greek words μέσος = middle and σφαίρα = sphere)
Mesosphere is one of the Earth's layer above the Stratosphere and directly below the Thermosphere.It is located at about 50 km (31 miles) above Earth's surface and goes up to 85 km (53 miles) high.The top of the Mesosphere called Mesopause and it is the coldest place on Earth -80 ° C (-112°F).
Scientists know less about the Mesosphere than about other layers of the atmosphere because it is hard to study. Weather balloons and jet planes cannot fly high enough to reach the Mesosphere. The orbits of satellites are above the Mesosphere. We don't have many ways to get scientific instruments to the Mesosphere to take measurements there but we do get some measurements using sounding rockets. Sounding rockets make short flights that don't go into orbit. Overall, there's a lot we don't know about the Mesosphere because it is hard to measure and study.
The space rocks experience friction with the gas molecules. The friction makes the meteors get very hot and give off light. Many meteors burn up completely in the mesosphere.A special type of clouds, called "Noctilucent Clouds", sometimes forms in the Mesosphere near the North and South Poles. These clouds are strange because they form much, much higher up than any other type of cloud. There are also odd types of lightning in the Mesosphere. These types of lightning, called "sprites" and "Elves", appear dozens of miles above thunderclouds in the troposphere below..

Tripping Through Time and Space

We are happy to welcome a new member to the Emerald & Doreen family, Mikael Fas from Crete. This is his first EP on Emerald & Doreen. It is called Mesosphere. Mesosphere is the layer of the Earth’s atmosphere between 50 and 100 km above Earth – and this is the soundtrack for cruising it. Fluffy, dreamy, half Balearic, half Cosmic vibes, to enjoy while chilling or warming up for a lovely night with some good friends. Phase I is the intro – you can literally sense the strong reference to the German Kosmische Musik of the 1970s, but also Jean Michel Jarre, the classic synthesizer music wizard joins the spaced out party. Phase II is a slowly grooving cosmic discofunk monster with many tiny tweaks and pleasant detours, while Phase III references late 70s space disco to take it to the next level. Phase IV sounds like Yellow Magic Orchestra meet Tangerine Dream for jamming in mid space. Part II gets the remix treatments, this time by Statickman, Rubberlips and Jonty Rose. The Statickman remix wows the audience with a beautiful indigen vibe, just the right soundtrack for flying over South America, Rubberlips adds the acid touch and a dreamy, romantic film music string layer on top – and Jonty Rose delivers a really chuggy cosmic leftfield-funk tune that is worth to be played over and over again, just the right tune on Andrew Weatheralls decks. A wonderful release for early summer nights.

Here they follow up their double A-side Rotation / Live and Let Die single and ‘Lama’ extended EP (released May) with an amazing package featuring the original ‘Kiev’ plus 9 remixes from 9 fantastic producers from nearly as many countries, celebrating the splendor of the original composition in their own unique styles.

Auxiliary tha Masterfader transforms the duo’s work into an Italoesque electro-disco-pop gem.  A Copycat‘s handclap-dream-pop version is tender as a peach skin with a retro summer groove factor.  Statickman‘s synths shoot like laser guns into the retro-synth future.  A Copy For Collapse goes for a more experimental, industrial approach, while David Garcet‘s trippy chillwave edit brings downtempo bliss. Mikael Fas dishes up a beautiful trance-imbued deep house version. Celebrated Japanese chillwave artist Haioka takes everything to the next level with sounds reminiscent of an angelic playground. Sounds of Sputnik presents a stripped-down 90s indie version laced with synth-guitar harmony. Brazilian electro-child Mind Movies delivers a fragmented, dubby and loud breakbeat adaptation that probably comes closest to the actual state of mankind if we could listen to its rhythm.

The outcome shows that what is the end for one person may be the start for another. Even more important, it shows that beauty can blossom even in the midst of ugliness.

About Ummagma: Since forming in Moscow in 2003, this Canadian-Ukrainian duo has been living between Ukraine and Canada, simultaneously releasing 2 debut albums in 2012. In 2013, Ummagma won the Alternative Eurovision, hosted by Amazing Radio, from 21 countries and repeated the feat in 2014 on Pure FM. "What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger" ... says the robot

This Daft Punkish phrase sets the stage for this not quite human excursion into the world of French artist Dilig0 and takes us on a trip from funky Mr Roboto beats ( does anyone remember that stuff from the 80s?) through deep, laid back cosmic sounds designed from a melancholic robot heart.
The further the journey goes the sounds move away from vocoderized voices and krauty beats to quiet, almost ambient instrumentals that almost sound like they rather come from the future than from the presence.
The release also comes with an abundance of fine remixes from Emerald & Doreen regulars such as Headpocket (yes robots want to dance some time), Dalo, Ullapul & mikael fas (an epic Kraftwerk-inspired synthesizer anthem) - all picking up the robotic theme of the release.

3MF, aka 3MotherFunkers, or if you prefer just Alex Saat, according to the press kit, is “a well travelled man with a taste for spicy food and great grooves that move the body and the soul”. There are no better words to describe this talented guy. Straight from Mexico 3MF delivers his Emerald & Doreen debut EP “Now”, which by the way will be followed by a second strike a few weeks later.
The title song itself is hauntingly groovy. Both music and lyrics alike are energizing and the message is as simple as true: You only got this one life, go take control and responsibility for it. 
The other distinctive track on this album – “Dance Is My Religion” its a 100% energy disco burner, a glimmering disco crystal ball with only one mission: to make you dance and smile.
As usual on Emerald & Doreen, there is a fine selection of equally inspirational yet diverse remixes. mikael fas takes “Now” to the mellow deep zone with pitched down vocals and cool, lascivious synths. 
Headpocket’s Dancing Vicar Remix is so beautifully relaxed, it makes you wonder what drink the clergy man is sipping on. Probably a perfectly crafted deep house cocktail with a funky cherry.
Irregular Disco Workers teamed up with Prince (well, sort of:-) giving “Dance Is My Religion” a funky acid makeover, that bass is simply badass!
Our beloved UK pop duo Go Satta’s „sentient fader remix“ (what the hell?) goes James Bond all the way with a lush, more dramatic version of „Now“ that develops into a a wild drum and base show down.
And then there is Italian house wiz Dalo who loops the funky title track into mantra-like prayer with repetitive “don’t you leave it” and tenderly addictive house groove.

So there is one thing to do for you. Plug in, turn the volume up and enjoy take in the definite positive vibes of this wonderful debut release.

Michalis Fasoulas, aka mikael fas, was born in Crete, Heraklion and his parentage is from Anwgeia. His first encounter with a musical instrument occurred in the age of 8 and it involved the traditional 3-string "lyra". Growing up, he became fond of the sound of electric quitar. Self-taught, he entered the local music scene becoming the guitarist of various rock groups, with the progressive metal genre being the one he became most accustomed to. "Mindscape" was the name of the progressive metal band he co-created, publishing a demo release entitled "Utopia of Balance" in 2004. During these gain years, he got heavily influenced by progressive rock bands, like King Crimson, Rush, Yes and Van der Graaf Generator, while in the years to follow, he also got involved with music genres like Krautrock, Post Rock, Indie, Alternative, Funky and Jazz with his main attraction being the atmospheric sounds and the electronic elements in all genres.
