The X Vinyl Series continues with label head Florian Meindl at the helm with the upcoming release Metaphysics. Synonymous with deep, dark techno, Florian does not disappoint with this 4 track EP, enlisting in demand producer and Rabe label boss Denise Rabe on remixing duties. Playing live with his Modular Synth set up, Florian began working on the concept for what would become these three original tracks while playing shows over the last month. The live jam character can clearly be felt in the first two tracks Metaphysics and Holomorphic Function. Florians original Bell's Theorem has a deep melodic structure. With Denise Rabes interpretation, the track is contorted through some serious distortion pedals and broken beat to match her dark take on the synth line. The outcome is an impressive piece for one of those never ending nights in concrete walled rooms with oversized loudspeakers.

Comprised of energetic expression and hell bent on immersion, In Half Light is an introspective soundscape of vibrant and effectual techno, characterised by its cohesive energies and earthy essence. With deep chords riding throughout, it descends you into a land time forgot and music never knew.

Lucy brings a signature of sound conveyed through an energetic palette of space and assertion. Intense and intimate rolling percussion carries the body of his remix through a slow and tripped-out synthetic body of keys.

The B side introduces Three Fates, a gripping recital of blurring synths and coiled-spring tension. The many colours of sound engulf the listener, gradually building to a stirring triumph of well paced electronic music.

Conceived for the dance floor, SHXCXCHCXSH brings a militantly autonomous track of self assured, brawling techno power. A grinding hook lays centre fold to this release, leaving in its wake a restless energy from the dark end of the street. A no-holds-barred memoir of techno, it fits to be played at the most twisted and disorientating part of any night.

"Stockholm-based Mikael Jonasson is a long serving DJ and producer who continues to push the boundaries of modern club music with his amazingly crafted, rather rare techno productions. With recent releases on labels like EXILE, Figure and Drumcode, Mikael has earned the support and attention from all the key players in the techno scene, resulting in a busy schedule of gigs around the world. His latest stops included the legendary Berghain in Berlin, Lehmann in Stuttgart, Privilege on Ibiza, Dockyard Festival during ADE in Amsterdam or Lantern in Bejing.

Starting out as a drummer in early years, attending municipal music education, led to the later interest in electronic music. Being a part of the Swedish rave culture in the late 90´s, Mikael started to collect pretty much every analogue synthesizer he could afford. What started out as experimental sounds evolved and matured over the years into music, and back in 1999 Mikael´s first vinyl record was released. Hard struggle in the studio and behind the decks, in combination with being a highly sought after producer in the international techno-scene has resulted in a variety of high quality releases topping the techno charts over a significant period of time.

In 2016 Mikael decided to team up with Johannes Heil, Markus Suckut and Andre Kronert as part of the EXILE imprint. Over the next years we will see a steady flow of releases and label events connected to these four producers and their mutual virtues and values that reach far beyond the music and the bussiness of the electronic music scene.

Right now Mikael continues to build his own intricate sound, characterised by an unique sound design and his attention to details. Strongly supported by fans, radio-stations and DJs around the globe, Mikael´s journey continues. Artistry through techno, 2018 style."
