I forgot to mention that this song is based off of the song "Toy Planes, Home, and Hearth" from the movie "Empire of The Sun". I thought that detail important to the overall feel of the song.


In light of recent events, I figure I should upload this now. Two of our brothers were killed, in two days. This is unacceptable. We all need to come together and realize that we are all equal, maybe not in our looks, or our personalities, but in the value of our lives. Nelson Mandela gave two very moving speeches in 1964, and during his inauguration.

Here are the excerpts that stand out the most to me:

"During my lifetime I have dedicated myself to this struggle of the African people. I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die."

"Let there be justice for all.

Let there be peace for all.

Let there be work, bread, water and salt for all.

Let each know that for each the body, the mind and the soul have been freed to fulfill themselves.
