A mythical alchemical process with the potential to create gold, perhaps even life, from simple components; a brilliant display of elemental infusion. The orchestra twists and turns, created from micro-interactions. It morphs and distorts, fusing together to create life – perhaps the most taboo of all forms of alchemy. It gradually grows until it no longer can sustain itself.

Transmutation

The soundtrack for Her Jentle Hi-ness is coming in TWO WEEKS! Here's a little taste of it. The album consists of 11 original tracks of classically inspired music with a modern, quirky twist. Relive the sounds of Eorina frantically attempting to appease the increasingly erratic Queen Miriam, whilst juggling family life, a cheeky cat and potential love.

Rue D'Auseil

Invercargill, August, 1895. Minnie Dean approaches the scaffold to receive her fate. She became the first and only woman in New Zealand to be executed. Her crime? She was accused of being a baby farmer - a carer who neglected and deliberately murdered children in her care. She maintained her innocence till the end.

Gossamer Baby

Frozen Blossoms was composed collaboratively with Liam Pram as part of APRA's inaugural Composition SongHubs in 2024. We spent a few days generating ideas, passing back and forth melodic, harmonic and rhythmic material before each forming our own interpretations into two distinct works.

Recorded by Jade String Quartet at Parachute Studios in 2024.

Frozen Blossoms

This piece for piano trio was inspired by a quote describing one of Douglas Lilburn's compositions. It explores tension, hesitancy and introverted expression.
