A New Age Dawns

Back in the day, almost everything associated with Star Wars bubbled with excitement, adventure and a certain sense of grandeur (delusional or not), along with the mystique of the philosophical and theological aspects of the saga. Sometime in the early ‘90s, AFX did a track which he initially called ‘Jedi’ and it was simply amazing. Later on it was renamed ‘On The Romance Tip’ and honestly, that change took away a little of the magic gifted to it by its original title.

Nowadays Star Wars is, at the very least, a deeply divisive franchise and so I don’t expect everybody to appreciate the title, but please, please - when you think of a Jedi, try to picture Luke as a young man with the world at his feet and a cyborg for a dad, or Obi-Wan as a silver-haired proponent of deep mysticism and the ways of a lone warrior. You get my drift?

So on to the music! I was fairly happy with the original mix of this track (currently out of stock), but I felt that some of the initial themes could be extended and modified, with some new chords introduced toward the end, giving it a heavily remixed feel. In fact, other than most of the original instruments staying the same it has gone through some serious alteration. It’s not really better or worse than the original - just different.

By the way, just to clarify, this track has literally nothing to do with Richard D. James.

I've been "away" for a while musically, because I was busy with setting up a new PC as "music machine", but yesterday and today I've created a new track from scratch, started with programming percussion, beats, brass and stuff, the jungle vibe ambience included (with Palindrome); so all is vst and no audio loops used. I have not been able to recover access to my other account [https://soundcloud.com/ha-kekong] for a couple of years.  I have tried a few times to get back into it but SoundCloud doesn't trust me.  Same phone number, same email addresses, and they still claim that they can't verify my identity.  I created that account about three years ago as a substitute to my regular account which SoundCloud temporarily closed.  They closed it as part of some upgrade procedure in their system, the result of a bug that affected many accounts, about two years ago.  Since SC did not inform its users I didn't know if that was permanent or not, so I created that other account which I can't access.  Don't be mad if I have not replied to your message in the past two years, that's because I never got them ; ) ... You can always reach me here though.

You can't see it because of the angle with which I took the shot, aiming down, but beyond those blocks is the sea.  To the left is the Mediterranean, to the right is the Atlantic Ocean.  No it's not Gibraltar, but a little bit further West. ... Actually I checked recently and it is further North more than West, I thought I was facing South when in fact I probably was facing the Atlantic ocean, which is why I suppose the waves were of a decent size where we were.
