I'm a songwriter from Virginia, USA. I work a day job for the Government. I love my God, my family, and my country. I also love music. I love listening to it, I love playing it, and most of all I love writing it and have over 25 years of songwriting experience. 

Songwriting strengths include: 
- strong melodies
- lyrical breadth from deeply introspective to tongue-in-cheek to intellectual
- creative harmonic progressions
- diversity, adaptability, and variability of style while maintaining a common sound
- varied song structures
- flexibility in songwriting...I've adapted music to fit lyrics, lyrics to fit music, and written entire songs around a hummed melody
- musical score writing rooted in a degree in music and music theory

I write music I would want to listen to. When I do listen, I listen to Led Zeppelin. I listen to tons of classical. I listen to Muse. I listen to Dave Matthews Band. I listen to The Black Keys. I listen to Zero 7. I listen to Benny Goodman. I listen to Pink Floyd. I listen to Sonny Boy Williamson. I listen to I listen to a hell of a lot more than that. You get the idea. I don't write to emulate them, but their influence is written all over me. 

Much of the music here is recorded with my band from a few years ago, Parlance, and features my songwriting with acoustic pop-rock instrumentation, driven by acoustic guitar and piano. Many recordings are longer versions with drawn out instrumental sections because the band often would extend songs out to 10+ minutes when playing live, but most longer versions could be reduced to "single length".
