This track is inspired by my improvisation earlier this month for Ambient Awakening. That was my first-ever live performance.
New miking, and new equipment patching & settings - I like the results. More of a dark ambient/ambient industrial mood. 
22 inch wind gong is from The Gong Shop in San Francisco. My chau gong "Saturn" originally from Steve Weiss. The activators were B Love flumies and homemade flumies, and regular gong mallets.
No effects or other instrumentation, only the gongs.

Floating Lotus

"Saturn" chau gong improv, using only three friction mallets and a soft rubber sphere for damping. 
A few days ago I held these friction mallets in a new way, and was delighted at the resulting sounds. So, I'm sharing with you!
The orange-yellow balls are from a toy store, they have a textured eggshell surface; I think the material is some sort of resilient silicone rubber. The wooden handles are disposable grilling sticks.
The damper is a large yellow ball of soft smooth rubber, on a steel skewer.
