This piece was inspired by a single vocal phrase sampled from jakoB haQ's online FaceTime chat on thesoundtestroom.com. It also includes a few phrase samples from another of my favorite music technology podcasts, Sonic Talk on Sonicstate.com. Heavily chopped up and processed, I believe the original speakers were Rich Hilton, Dave Spiers, and Mark Tinley, who have been some my favorite online music technology personalities for many years.

For too many years, filmmaker William Beaudine's reputation was maligned with false stories of sloppy work and a "one-shot" approach to shooting. In reality, Beaudine was a talented and versatile creative artist who began his career with D.W. Griffith, directed such icons as Mary Pickford, Jean Harlow and W.C. Fields, and worked in the British film industry and for Walt Disney. In this episode, film historian James L. Neibaur, who is at work on a Beaudine biography, considers the filmmaker's legacy and prolific body of work.

Pop epic from A7 Club regulars Desi, Desi, and Desi, a fixture in NYC East Village from '79 to '86. Included members of The Ed Davis Band, "Cincinnati's first punk band". This 4-track studio version performed and recorded (in the middle of the night) at 256 E. 10th Street #4B by Mike Enright; featuring Fran Slater on backing vocals. Tune by Barry/Bricusse, based on the guitar-heavy Billy Strange arrangement on the flip side of "Jackson".
