This was the first song I ever wrote and recorded. It was recorded with a single budget dynamic mic in my garage onto a Tascam 8-track digital recorder, which I'd borrowed from a friend, and then bounced to cassette tape since the Tascam didn't have a CD burner.
The surviving cassette was digitised using a Walkman, because it's the only thing I could lay my hands on that could playback cassettes.
The session this was culled from (we actually recorded a full album between the two of us) was my first foray into proper recording, and was so inspiring that I all but put down the guitar in favour of the microphone after this point. Despite knowing nothing about compression, only the basics about EQ, and having no editing skills what-so-ever, I'm still kinda proud of these recordings and some of the workarounds i came up with to achieve the sounds I wanted.
