Picture this... You've just driven for 6 hours to a secret location where you are greeted with hugs, smiles, love & energy. I made this last night after watching Gravity. Nothing fancy, just some space music that seemed like a good idea in the afterglow of the film. Uploading here for the hell of it.

Today I'm reaching out to get YOU involved.

I thought it would be a great collaborative experiment to involve as many people as possible in making a music video for my new track, Salt Lake. This tune's had some outstanding responses so far.

The Stereophoenix team and I are giving you an open platform to express yourselves through the medium of video; to be a part of something special and unique.

I’m calling out to each of you to tap into your creativity and submit 1 minute of original HD video footage for the music video to Salt Lake. It's an open source approach to making a music video, giving YOU a chance to be a part of something, rather than being passive observers.

The footage can be of whatever you like. Whether it's the world around you, some of your favourite things, a snapshot of your life, something (or someone) you love, or an abstract idea, this is your chance to express yourselves... just record it on whatever device you have to hand, at the highest possible quality.

Your film must be uploaded to YouTube and private link submitted for review to info@stereophoenix.com by January 13th 2014. If your content is chosen, we’ll send you a message with further information and instructions on submitting a raw file to us through Dropbox.

We'll gather all of the footage and, working with a small team of editors, bring it all together to make the final cut.

This is new territory for us, and we're excited. Join us and let's make it happen!

Hi everyone, how you keepin?

So it's been a good while since I had some new bits out there for you. You know how it goes, life kinda gets in the way sometimes, right? Well, I thought I'd give you a free track to quench your thirst for new music, in the form of my re-tweak of Zodiac Cartel's "On My Mind" track which came out last month on U&A (which you can pick up here: http://www.beatport.com/track/on-my-mind-original-mix/3429044). 

Notice how I'm using the term 're-tweak', not remix. Well, that's because basically that's what this is. I wrote this after the lovely weekend DJ’ing out in Budapest in February, and the original track had been such a massive track out there, it was resonating in my mind and I was still hyped from the gigs at the weekend (or was it the constant stream of espresso I'd been having?). I was meant to do this remix to be included in the release package, but it didn't ultimately make the release due to its similarity with the original, and my lack of time to revisit it. It was intentional to keep the main vibe of the original, as I wanted to re-kindle those memories of the original track but bring my flavour to it.

Anyway, here it is in the same state I made it in those few days after Budapest (re-mastered today), and here’s your chance to enjoy a free copy. Hopefully if you choose to play it out, or play it on public transport at excessive volumes, others will get a buzz of it too.
