The never quiet unrelenting clang of call and song.

We were all so young and never thought
That days would pass and we would part.

Now through those dreaming years
I watch my sweet and laughing child
Holding to my finger as if it were the world.
We’ll make great fun days you and I-
Till parting comes. And with a sigh
I watch you go to this sweet happiness
I now know-
Another singing world, full of summer leaves 
And comfortable love.

The two of them held all of us, for all of those years,
In that bright and seldom silent circle
Circus-like and dream-like now
But real enough to bring long letters,
And after all this time,
The words that say the love we built.

Le projet "Unfinished Fragments" dont j'ai composé la musique (inspirée de "Charisma" de Julia Greenwood Locke) réunit sur scène musiciens et danseurs et est une oeuvre inspirée d'écrits :

"La fragilité d'un instant fragmenté, le temps volé, le temps qui s'envole, la poétesse américaine, Charis Southwell, grave ses impressions sur des morceaux de papier. Quelques brins de ses poèmes font naître l'expressivité d'une danse vibrante, sculptant l'espace, les corps propulsés par les dissonances et les brisures d'une musique jazz sensible et enveloppante."

The project "Unfinished Fragments" for which I composed the score (inspired by "Charisma" by Julia Greenwood Locke) brings together musicians and dancers in a choreographical piece based on written works.

"The fragility of an fragmented instant, stolen time, escaping time, ... the American poetess, Charis Southwell, engraves her impressions on bits of paper. A few phrases from her poems give birth to a vibrant dance, sculpting space, the dancers bodies propelled by the dissonances and ruptures of a jazz music that surrounds the senses with its delicacy."
