It's a cartoon made by Martin and Chris, brothers who imagine what it would be like to have a particular animals ability each episode and make creature power suits to experience life like them. It's probably the most educational thing my kids watch. They really are incredible at presenting the creature and what's important to know about them. Can't recommend these guys enough 🔆

"First, in an evolutionary sense, senescence is the progressive physiological process of deterioration leading to a decline in fitness with age," so when an Octopus male delivers eggs to a female with its specially evolved arm just for that it turns senescent and dies. The act of doing this sends the female to a den where she cares for the eggs and then she too turns senescent and dies...

They both DIE to Create more. It's so epically sad and amazingly creative at the same time. The only way their DNA can continue to curate the world...
We could look at this as extremely solid in an evolutionary sense. As humans we need to do a lot to keep.our gene pool going. Not Octopus. Once they get jiggy... they know what time of day it is for their future and their offspring. I suppose they are here a good few million years more then humans so they must know this place better then us! They survived Chicxilub. Ain't no way humans could do that unless we stop it happening. If one like that hits again it's game over unless we turn into Octopus or something....

I wonder will we be able to teach animals how to create art in the future... Or better still I wonder do they already make art... & we just don't understand or recognize it yet
..

I'll gradually fill this out properly but first note is the lyrics were written on the back of the page the lyrics for Symbiosis were written on. They appreciate the connection with that song so I think that was a nice nugget for writing a song for them on the same bit of tree 🔆

The other worthy note for now is this is the first ever song I've written in 9/8... also a hat tip to the lads thinking outside the box

Discuss how we are the last generation with a pre artificial intelligence reference so have a great responsibility to pass onto the next generation what its like to be creative without it at all and as we fully integrate it's mechanisms, those mechanisms need to expand not contract general human creativity. This is also critical in an existential sense as we need to evolve minds to be more creative to move passed current negative bottlenecks holding us back...

AI certainly has a part to play in helping us become more consciously good as a collective but there has to be an allowance for the indivdual to be empowered by that transition also and not dumbed down by it. That cedes more power and the top 1% becomes the top 0.5% unless we are all lasered to what it is doing and what we actually want from it

I’m a song-writer who enjoys creating music of any genre.

My son recently introduced me to A.I. and taught me how to do covers of my previously released non-A.I. music. Since I've never considered myself a performer (except playing with worship bands at church or solo-piano at a rehab center) using A.I. is right up my alley.

Since I've  exhausted using my previously released music for A.I. covers, I now compose music in a DAW, rip to a wave file, and make an A.I. cover of this wave file. I then write lyrics to the A.I. music. It takes around 100 A.I. iterations to complete the lyrics and get a style I'm happy with.  

Brief Bio: Lived more than a quarter of my life overseas (Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, Italy, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan). Each country gave me an appreciation for different types of music plus probably why I get bored easily in sticking with one genre or another.
