For Lovers and the Broken Hearted is a conceptual album that I was blessed with a couple of years ago that has since grown into something that I couldn’t really have fathomed when I first concieved it. Sonically, the album is weaved between half polished and lo-fi acoustic tracks with a few meetings in the middle. Subsequently the genre’s also do the same from a singer songwriter approach to a 90’s hip hop/rap/r&b vibe. I think the best way to describe it is as an ‘Unplugged Mixtape’.

The album lyrical content is a take on the concept of love and heart break both vertically (spiritually) and horizontally (physically) and delves into the high’s and low’s of what we all seek to obtain: a loving validation, acceptance, and purpose; but above and before all of that for me, truth. The truth, to be more specific, the way, and the life.
